Jeff Burton hasn't been with RCR for 10 years. He left Roush in 2004 and was replaced by Carl Edwards around the middle of that year.

RCR has a lot invested in the the Dillon kids. That could backfire in a big way if they don't perform as they hope. Havick's gone after this year and that leaves Paul Menard, who isn't bad, but he isn't great either.

I think Richard has just been keeping the team running for the grand-kids. I read several stories that said he seriously considered ending operations when Dale, Sr. died. As long as the sponsors pay the bills, I guess he keeps the lights on, but something tells me his heart isn't really in it anymore.

Menard brings big $$ sponsorship, that is the only reason he has a ride.

Yes, but he's the highest RCR driver in the standings, right now. I don't think that'll last, but he's doing alright.

Mike Dillion, Richard's son in-law is really doing all the day to day at RCR.

I'll reserve comment about any of his management skills as Richard probably oversees all the major decisions, but I spent a day with Dillion and he is a blast to be around.

If you count 2004 it's ten years, I was guessing and guessed right, I would have cut him ten years ago.

Got to love the "debris" cautions. I feel sorry for Martin Truex Jr because Nascar needs to make the show more exciting. At least DMG is doing a bang up job with AMA road racing:rofl

They could make an exciting race with a surprise green flag in the middle of yellow flag pit stops. These 5 lap cautions for a hot dog wrapper are getting stupid. Let 'em crash, let 'em find a way around debris like I do on the freeway. If there isn't an oil slick they need to let them run.

    What a yawn fest.

    Cool:

The new qualifying rules for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at road courses are as follows:

    • Cars attempting to qualify will be divided into groups. The number of groups, and amount of cars in each, will depend on the number of cars that practice for the event.

    • Group assignments will be based on final practice times.

    • Each qualifying group will be on-track for a set period of time, determined by the Series Director.

    • A car’s best lap time during the group session will be the qualifying lap time of record.

    • A group’s time begins when the first car receives the green flag at the start/finish line.

Now if we could only get rid of pitting under yellow we could have a good racing series. :evil

I don't know how I have become a Kurt Busch fan? :scratch

I used to think the greatest thing that ever happened to him is when Spencer poked him in the nose and now I'm on the edge of the couch rooting for him?

Danica really needed a few more years in Nationwide or lower.

I enjoyed the Richmond race, I watched virtually all of it (a rarity for me).

I was again chuckling to myself about about anti-NASCAR sheep and how they say its shitty racing.

There is sooooo much going on during 400 laps.

I like seeing Kurt Busch up front, a win for him or Montoya would've been nice.

Felt bad for Juan, he deserved it, but that is racing. As soon as that yellow came out, I knew who would win. The Closer!

It's OK, nobody expects the blind to wake up with sight.:D

Though I will admit that I've had my share of naps during a race broadcast.
