    Hey guys!

I’ve ordered a GS Adventure and it will come with the GPS mount pre-installed. I have a question regarding the GPS though…

I’ve also ordered the Connectivity TFT screen and this will give me all the information about the bike. So, do I really need a Navigator VI or something else from Garmin is enough? If yes, is there something that I can put in the BMW GPS mount? What is compatible and will it lock with the key too? Or am I just stuck with Navigator?

    Thank you!

I have a new GS, too. For now I am using my Garmin 665, which fits into the cradle just fine, though it won't do all the cool stuff the Nav V and VI will do.

Cool! Can you lock it so it won't get stolen (like the Navigator), or do you always have to take the GPS with you when you get out of the bike?

Will the thumb wheel work with the 665?

Pretty sure it will not, yet I've read somewhere that there was the possibility to install BMW software directly on the 665.

The thumbwheel does not work with the 665 (on V and VI). However, the 665 does lock into the cradle.

Can I enter a destination on the VI while the motorcycle is moving?

Yes,but not really recommended due to the safety aspect.
