    Hey guys!

I’ve ordered a GS Adventure and it will come with the GPS mount pre-installed. I have a question regarding the GPS though…

I’ve also ordered the Connectivity TFT screen and this will give me all the information about the bike. So, do I really need a Navigator VI or something else from Garmin is enough? If yes, is there something that I can put in the BMW GPS mount? What is compatible and will it lock with the key too? Or am I just stuck with Navigator?

    Thank you!

Nav IV or V will mount, but you won't have wonder wheel function with the IV.
Couple places making mount adapter to allow iPhone and others to mount and get power from BMW GPS mount.

I don't want to break the original train of thought, but when I saw your post I had to ask. Who makes or where can I get an adapter to have my iPhone fit in the Nav cradle?

That would solve some issues until I can afford a Nav system.

    Thanks

And those adapters also allow a key lock so the GPS (other than the Navigator) doesn't get stolen?

The TFT connects to non-TFT bikes?

    That's great.

The adapter plate I saw at the BMW national rally locked into place in the GPS cradle, but phone was just held to that by by magnet.
One of the threads here showed an Amazon or Ebay source unit where the phone clipped into the mount plate that was secured to the stock GPS cradle.
None appeared to really lock the phone securely, but have not physically seen the second unit in action.
Both appeared a bit spendy for what they do,YMMV.

With my limited knowledge, I have attempted to find them on BMW, eBay and amazon with no success. Do you recall the name or brand.

I'll check around, but busy with work,so may take awhile.
Was all posted in a thread here, maybe in GPS forum.
Had a brochure on one I saw at Rally, but may have tossed it in post trip clean up.

Humm... this seems unsafe. Ok, looks like it's a better "deal" just to shell out the money for the Navigator.
