I can't believe there's not a thread concerning the thumping the Spurs are laying on the heat.
we're trying not to hex it, dummy.
mods - please close this thread, and resurrect it only if the spurs win one more
I stopped watching the NBA when Jordan retired. :huh
Who's that Jesse Williams? Really comes across as being low function.
I stopped when Larry Bird retired.
I had thought the lack of give a damn for the NBA was due to me living in a city with other professional sports, but not an NBA team. This thread tells me I'm wrong and now I'm wondering how the heck it survives.
You FF's are all just jealous because Wilt Chamberlin was a scoring manchine.
I think people are just tired of the referee's being used to fix the outcomes.
Hey, this isn't NASCAR we're talking about.
The skill and athleticism are astonishing. Bashing the NBA is in vogue, especially among white males, but someone with an open mind and an appreciation for athletics can't help but be impressed by what these guys do and how fast they do it.
Agreed. I'm an NBA junkie (have been since the 70's) and one of the few people that prefer it over college ball.
I'm another. I watch virtually no college. It's like two different games, even the worst pros are so much better than a decent college guy.
True. I love it when people tell me Duke or whoever could beat the Bobcats or whoever stinks at the time. I tell them that they dont realize that the worst NBA team are still the smallest percentage of the best college players around the world. The NBA are men compared to boys playing in the college ranks.
Well hell, that didn't go as planned. I have to hand it to James, he really stepped up when it mattered most. All in all it was a great series between two teams that played hard and showed a lot of respect for each other.
Beside the outcome, I really enjoyed that. Hell of a series.
Absolutely. I'm no James fan, but he earned this. He was fantastic.
Not a James fan, but the sad thing is he's only going to get better when his jumper improves. I know he has range now, but he'll become more consistent.
As I said last year.
