Thank you truck6, I didn't think this damn thing was ever going to move...:D

Nice tag in Lenior too, somebody had better grab it pretty quick, or it's in for a road trip next week.

Great to see you tagging T6D. Where have you been hiding that sweet VMax? I'm really green with envy. I lusted after that bike all through the late 80's. Would love to find one that looks that nice today. Am I correct in thinking this is the Lenoir Co. tag up for grabs? First page hasn't been updated in a while.

Joe the tag Ray got was the Lee county one. Lenoir is the next one I'm pretty sure. Glad you were able to grab that tag after all Ray.

You got this via Crapatalk :D

Well I lusted after a V Max since 1988 when I first rode one. Could never really afford one but used my settlement check from my knee injury to buy this one. Now the irony of it all, my knee hurts every time I ride the thing. :cry My knee helped me get it and it is my knee that is making me sell it. I posted it up for sale last week.

Yes it is the Lenior county TAG that is up for grabs. An easy find for anyone. If you like the civil war history there is alot in the area to look at.

I'm really sorry to hear that you have to sell it. Just curious how this bike makes your knee hurt vs. the others? Is it the width of the bike? Are you selling it here in ADV or only locally on CL? I couldn't afford to buy it off you but i can dream can't I?

Leg position and foot location. Nighthawk did it too just not as bad. I need a bike with a longer distance of the seat to the pegs. If you get this way and I still have it you can take it out for a ride. It is a fun bike to play with. Acceleration makes you :D.

It's up on here in the Flea Market, Craigslist and the V Max forum web site. Lots of interest but no bites. Wrong time of the year to sell a bike.

Want to trade for my dad's vulcan???? It has the forward controls and my leg is almost straight when riding though I flatfoot it with bent knees at stoplights. It has a good bit of growl for a V twin. It's no Vmax but it is fun to ride. Could you convert the Vmax to forward control? At least throw some Highway pegs on for some knee relief. I hate to hear about having to sell because of ergos. PM me the link to your craigslist post so I can drool.

I am looking at the Versys. A Taller, narrower bike.

    Joe,

I just don't like the longer cruiser bikes, never have. comfortable or not. Just personel preference. They have foward controls for the V Max but it is very pricey. I will send you the Flea Market link. It has more pictures than the CL link.

A little late there with my post but you got the right spot. :thumbThe stump next to the fire ring was a dead give away.

Nice grabbing...can't believe there was a bruce on that one.

No two wheels for me out here on Guam yet but I'm getting 4 wheels today ---> they are giving me a Mule to drive through the jungles. Uh oh :D

Have 2 rivers, a swamp, and some mountains to cross to get to where we are working.

I'll post a few pics soon.

Alright, settled in at home in front of a fire now. It was a cold ride back. Actually, it wasn't that cold, but I left when it was warm and didn't ride in winter gear. I had some Under Armor thermals in my backpack, and had to stop and put them on as the sun set.

So, I was riding on 55 East about half way between Newton Grove and Mt. Olive when I got hit. And trust me, I was the one that got hit. I was running WFO on the way there...well, as WFO as you can on a sidecar rig. I was in the middle of a sweeping right curve and was hanging off the bike. All I saw was a glimpse of brown on my left, then it felt like I got donkey punched. I got hit in the back of my left shoulder blade so hard it knocked me off the bike and halfway into the sidecar. I lost the bars for a quick second, which means I lost the throttle, which sent my sidecar around my bike and me into the oncoming traffic that didn't exist. I grabbed the throttle with my left hand, pulled myself back up, and recovered the rig before I left the asphalt. I saw the back end of a whitetail running into the woodline as I pulled myself up.

There was a few drops of blood on my bike. I think the deer had been shot, was running, and just didn't see me. I don't think it really attempted to jump over me, but with me hanging off the bike, it just barely made it over the bike, and used me to push off on to finish the leap. It shook me up a bit, but I was laughing about it a few minutes later.

All in all, it was a boring ride out there. I figured I would just grab the two photos and haul ass home before dark. I got the ABC tag, then missed my turn on the way to get the ENC tag. I was pissed, then I saw this!

    So I went inside....and I found this!

Yep, it was a release party for their limited edition Silent Night Imperial Stout!
    :freaky:freaky:freaky:freaky

I sampled, and then bought my limit to take home. So really, today turned into a 300 mile beer run. :rofl

My guess is he was trying to bikejack you to get away from hunters. Never did trust those damn deer.
