stbob!!! Now somebody go grab this as it is in my back door still and we need more players soz I ain't goin'!
This is my tag. There are many like it, but this one is mine
Mile Marker 431 on BRP, Between Highways 215 and 74 south of Waynesville
New Tag up in a few hours
Just an old building. It sits next door to a Post Office. This Post Office, like most, is named for the town in which it resides. The town is named after some woods, the woods are named after a mountain. Travel 1/4 mile west of this building and you'll be in the neighboring town. You missed the official festival, but you might still see a white squirrel.
Edited cus I thought this was a wild card tag lol! I play to many games.
You got this via Crapatalk
Nice work whitebread...neat looking tag
Ever play the Appalachian Tag? It's one you might enjoy with that bike you got....just sayin'...
Would love to, but it's hard enough to find time for one tag game with my work schedule. I ditched work at lunch today to pick this one up. Ran through 3 major thunderstorms between the Bent Creek Parkway access and the tag, thinking for sure I'd get Bruced and hoping the laptop in my backpack would stay dry. Luckily my high speed run south down 215 to get it posted was all dry with no tourists to slow things down
One other hint, even though there are several prominent ones already listed. I mention it because it's worth a stop in.
The next driveway west of this building is the entrance to the area's newest brewery. They have a tasting room and give free brewery tours every day at 4.
Ask for Oskar
I'm wondering if I could beat the rains and Uncle Bruce on this tag ...
I sure would like to go out and see the oskar place.
Fri-Sun they do tours at 2, 3, 4, and 5pm. Tasting room open noon-10pm. Tomorrow is Friday....
To you flatlanders - this is the closest it's been to sea level in a while. One could make a run up the Saluda grade and grab it relatively easy I would think....
To you hill dwellers - I know several of you regulars live within 30 miles. No whining if it gets sniped and punted gentlemen
Flatlanders may not be listening....if'n I were to go fer another one and get it, I'll throw it west to Hanging Dog...just sayin'...after I sample the brew of course... I thinks its about time fer johnnymac to come in for a weekend or old n slow to speed up a bit
It's been up here a while now and maybe they are tuning out. If that's the case punt it all the way to the edge of Ducktown. Though I have heard a Lone Wolf howling now and again.
If you do come down to grab it the brew is nice. All the taps are tasty and you can tell they are really happy to be brewing in this area. Also stop in downtown on broad street of the county seat at the brewery that shares the towns' name. The pilsner is good and I really like the dunkel, though Cuttle told me it's less than authentic and not the real deal
I know exactly where it is, but it is safe from me until next week. I'm trying to recruit a newbie to get the tag though.

Ok, but where is it?
Just curious, getting ready to go to Deadhorse and catch my flight home.

Way to go Doog! Hey Phreak! It was in downtown Pisgah Forest one door past the Post Office. Just down the road from the Olin Mill site....several fun little roads in that area between there and the DuPont Forest, Cedar Mountain and East Fork French Broad.
