I thought this was part of an College Campus but I believe I was wrong. I see references of an Orphanage now when I look.

The Bridge in the background is part of the Inner Banks Scenic Parkway and at this point Three rivers merge together.

The name of the individual the Bridge is named for has one of the more unique southern name (all three names) .

He rose to be named the President of The NC Bar Association.

Well that should be enough and you can kinda make out the dock from Google street view also.

    Pardon my tag game interruption.

Don't forget today is Memorial Day and what that means. It is not National BBQ Day or the Unofficial Start of Summer Day.

God bless all of our troops past, present and future.

I'm not riding today but that spot looks like it would be a good place to put the kayak in and spend the day. I'll have to add that to my mile long to do list.

I think that one is pretty cool to. Not a country wide one, but not a really local one either. Some of the guys on here already played that type, grabbing the TN tags, the WV tags, and the VA tags:D

Running T63s now .. fun in the Nantahala woods, but not the greatest for freeway flying .. may get another set of 705s .. those were great for slab and could handle some gravel without getting ugly .. and I got a smidge over 5K miles outta the rear .. the front is in the shed and still good for another few thousand at least .. could probably squeeze another thousand out of the rear, but it'd be a slick by then .. lol ..

I'm not even sure where it is, but I wouldn't have time to ride for it anyhow.

This one's likely to sit for a bit. Out of my range, but with a nice weekend ahead, maybe somebody will grab it.

I found it, about 2 1/2 hours or so for me so I won't have time to ride for it. Only short rides for me probably until the baby goes to school :lol3

    Off the subject but.......

Just wanted to know if anyone was interested in a mid 80ies Honda Goldwing 1200. Fellow firefighter at work bought one several months back that had been in storage, from a friend of his, and is now buying a house and needs the cash more than a bike (newlywed :D ) He is wanting to see if there would be any interest in the bike. He hasn't even started to have it worked on yet.
I saw it breifly and it is a nice looking bike. Since it has been sitting it will not start. Will spin over with a jump. Carbs will need gone through as at least one of them is stuck keeping the throttle from working. The usual stuff needed after one has been sitting will need to be done as well. He was told that the radio was not working before being parked.

If someone is looking for a nice touring project this would be the one. I know the price is neg. but I know that he will take under $1000 for it. :deal
I have never wanted one otherwise I would have bought it already. :lol3

If anyone is interested give me a yell. I can help with transporting as well if you cannot move it.

Funny thing about riding in the woods.....the more time you spend there the more you're convinced that street tires are overrated and knobbies are good enough for commuting :evil

Try a Shinko 244 front with a Kenda 270 rear. Good enough for the street, good enough for the trails if you need a true 50/50 mix.

Or better yet buy whatever you feel like for street and keep a pair of 606s or Trackmasters in the garage for the mountain rides......
