    Exhibition matchups start this weekend.

Conference realignment is upon us - should be interesting to see how it all plays out. After last year I can only hope for further increased parity among the conferences.

My Michigan Tech Huskies should be on the upswing - nWCHA should play a little softer than in the past, along with a tough nonconference schedule featuring games @UMD, @Michigan, vs Michigan State, and @Notre Dame that will help to harden the team early in the year. As of last year, team leaders for every significant stat were freshmen or sophomores, but the defense is looking a little thin, graduating many seniors and looking at the very real prospect of two freshmen in the top three pairings. As well, the pair of goalies are now sophomores, more shots, more experience. Big wins last year against Minnesota, Michigan, North Dakota, St. Cloud St., etc should help with confidence.

    Heres to happy hockey! :freaky

It will be all BC, yet again. Enjoy your games. Pre season polls are suggesting that UMASS Lowell will be right with them....I am not thinking they can repeat last years performance...but maybe. BC has all the money.

Living equidistant from the Bobcats home on the hill in Hamden and the Whale in New Haven I am pumped for the season. QU games were understandably electric last season and I am looking forward to making it to a few more this year also.

I'm so disgusted with the Big Ten that I've refused to pay any attention to the Gophers. :dunno

Air Force won 2 v. Penn State. CC split with Duluth. Denver lost 2 at the Goal Rush.

Tech FINALLY won saturday. They put up a tough showing against Notre Dame the other weekend but by all accounts the hockey east refs were appalling. Not standard "whining about a couple poor calls" but legitimately appalling by all accounts. Who knows, I wasnt there. Something like 84 minutes to ~20?

However I should be there this weekend @ the evil empire, Michigan. By the sounds of things there is quite the group of ex-techies going - I feel a hangover coming on :freaky

    And AFA is now 5-3-0.

BC-- 6-2-1 overall and 3-0 in Hockey East.

About beanpot time is when it gets real serious. If UML keeps it up, they may have to be included soon.

They wont be, the bean pot isn't about the best in the area, it's schools in Boston/Cambridge and it has been the same 4 for 50+ years.

Which is why I don't go to it but I'll be at the Garden for UML if they make it into the semi finals of Hockey East this year.
