Thank you to VespaFitz & DukeGirl for an awesome day! It was great to meet all of you folks and make some new friends. You guys rock even though you are fucking crazy!

I think we kicked around the idea of having the next event at my house...YIKES! DukeGirl is impossible to follow! Will keep you posted.

It was nice to hang out with Rabia & DukeGirl in the afternoon while our men were out playing. Is that really true about Flug?

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

GSG, You aint lying there. The thought of meeger ham and eggs steak and eggs, toast and what ever pales. I would put forth a motion to the chapter that DG become the official brunch chapter cook. We can have get togethers wherever, but she has to be available to do the cooking.

If DG wants to be Official Chef, just bring some of those VT brewed Pollinators and I will help cook, do the dishes, or whatevah. Throw in some of those apple french toast, too, while you're at it.

Methinks we should have a rotation on the brunches. Just did VT, next one in New HampSHAH (GSGirl's?), that leaves Manhattan, NJ, CT, MA, RI, ME, Ottawa, Republic of Cape Cod, etc., etc.

I believe the NE Chapter would be honored to have you and SWMBO as members. And Das Flug would be happy to accept your application for enrollment. We'll take him on that tour of Scotland you know so well....

Where do I start?? :flug :flug :flug

We had such a great time--thanks to everyone who came! And thanks to everyone for your compliments! :bmwrider I enjoy every moment of planning, cooking and hosting. From deciding what to serve, to shopping, to prepping everything, cooking and then seeing it all getting devoured--it is very rewarding. I will happily be the official ADVRider NE Chapter cook, my place or yours. :thumb

Special thanks to all those folks who contributed food, drinks and other treats. It is all very much appreciated. I am right now having some of Ross' fab coffee, which is making the house smell all nice and yummy. I think my heart stopped palpitating at about 9:30 last night, after the Turkish coffee finally wore off. Man, that was some wicked stuff. Flying Monkey is a mad man.

It was one of the best parties VFitz and I have ever thrown, and we've had some doozies. :freaky

Special thanks to GSGirl and Rabia for hanging out with me and helping me clean up. I think GSGirl washed every single dish, pot, pan, fork and spatula -- above and beyond the call of duty! Thanks Grace!

And Rabia, that kook, who toted a bag of charcoal on the back of her bike from Rhode Island just for VFitz, proved yet again that she is one of the most thoughtful and generous people we've ever met. :clap

Dizave, I think I'll make some BLT's for lunch with that pepper bacon! :tongue

Of course, there were loads of people I didn't get the chance to chat with very much, but it was still a pleasure just to meet you and connect faces to the names.

And a final special thanks to Baldy and all those who make this site all that it is. :bow

    Are these _really_ breakfast foods????

What you all don't know is that dukegirl cooks with tire irons:

Considering how many bikes ride by their street, it's surprising we didn't get more people simply stopping to see what was up:

What was up? We all wanted to hear from today's expert:

Had to give the new lights the drop test. Stupid mud. Stupid tourances. :arg

    It got better :):

Had this on the way home, for one hour. Got up to 8 bars of heat before I decided on the shoulder route. Cleared up for absolutely no reason after many miles. I'll never understand traffic.

    Thanks DG and VF!!!!

Eastbound only I-90 last night. The cars that didn't have the advantage of cheating like those of us on bikes did must have been there until midnight. It was moving 10ft/minute, and it was backed up for like 6 or 8 miles. And no exits, of course.

That was an incredible breakfast! :bow Thank you very much and it was great to meet you guys (and everyone else for that matter!)

Let's see, my 1st plate consisted of:

    Caramel apple french toast
    Potato and leek frittata
    Home fries
    Maple cured bacon
    Concord grape pie

    2nd plate:

    Sausage and gorgonzola frittata
Apple cider doughnuts (from a local farm)
    more Home fries
    more Maple cured bacon
Homemade sage and maple breakfast sausage

    Misc throughout the day...

    Apple cider
Fresh roasted (right there on your back porch) coffee from Ross

Missed out on the Turkish coffee which is probably for the better as I did plan on sleeping last night. Sounds like just the ticket for CroMag '04 though!
