I finished putting my windshield on my Patrol T today. The bike is now nearly how I envisioned it. I just have to add a jerry can, lower leg fairings and an engine guard. That'll do it until the Spring. In recent weeks I installed saddlebags, a leather ammo bag from Oldtimer's Garage, rear tractor seat, a spare tire, a shovel, an M1 rifle scabbard, a windshield (and a tool kit). My wife made the tonneau cover and lower windshield fairing out of marine fabric. She did a great job.

I know it's not an exact replica of a WW2 Harley XA, but it's a fair representation IMO. I have about 2500km so far, it's been a ball for the kids and I.

I've always wanted one of Harley's authentic air-cooled, boxers: the XA. A BMW copy with standard (not metric) hardware etc. But, the Russian copy will do.

    Looks good.

If it were mine, I would ditch the side covers and get a brown leather seat, though.

Looks great! Are you going to get a real Garand down the road? A decent shooter can still be had for around $1K. It'd really complete the bike and they are great fun to shoot. Also practical for woods hunting.

Like the idea of a brown leather seat.
