Went out for a ride yesterday with a friend that I was leading. She thought I was terrible at signalling and I was wondering why it took her so long to follow me through traffic...Anyway, turns out the rear signals weren't functioning.

I checked and the left side bulb shattered and the turn signal casing has started to melt. One of the wires has dislodged itself from the metal spring-loaded piece that holds the bulb. The right side bulb appears to be fine but the signal won't work. I also checked the fuses and all are fine on the bike. The front signals work fine and all other lights as well.

Anything I need to be concerned about? How do I rewire the left signal wires?

Just install new signals and be done with it. Rebuilding them is likely to cost just as much.
