Anyone ever have one of those days when every minute of your ride someone is trying to race you, run you off the road, turn w/out signaling, and just generally being a hazard on the road? Today was one of those days. My usually uneventful commute seemed more like trying to survive a shelling while running exposed across an open field. Couldn't wait to get to work for once!

    I can relate.
Some days the commute is completely uneventful.
Other days it feels like you are running a gauntlet of vehicles trying to kill you.
Today (auto commute) was a mixed bag, a bunch of cars and pedestrians started to pull/step in front of me causing a quick brake check, then they stopped allowing me to continue. The only aggressive Ahole was the one that tried to pull around my left side as I was trying to move left to get off at an exit. Thats an annoying section of I490 where I get on the road in the left lane then need to get off 3 lanes to the right less than 1/2 mile later. :(

    Glad you made it safe

    Funny you both mentioned this..
I really want to ride as much as possible, seeing as I commute from P'Ville to B'ford...
but thruout the years I have "aquired" a sort of sixth sense, that on occasion "makes me feel funny" about taking off on 2 wheels....
this morn was one of those days, and gladly I was in a steel box.

road obstacles appered out of nowheres a half dozen times, drivers were totally blind, people pulling out in front from sideroads....
and I was in a FULL SIZED Truck.....:eek1

sometimes you just know when to cage to work....

Weird... I rode to work yesterday. And wanted to ride the other bike today... However for that same reason I felt I should not, loe and behold! Crap shoot going to and from work! Maybe we should start a thread titled "Commute Prediction Combine - Should I ride today?" with a daily vote tally that will bring the law of averages to our spidy senses.

I rode to work today, it was so nice, I took about a 70 mi. detour, one of the better commutes I've had all year as far as asshole drivers go

Haven't seen one up this way yet. Might have been going to Spikes Shine Shop for a visit. Was it spotless? Over stickered + spotless = poser?

That street would have been West Muskingum but someone changed the name of our branch of the river up our way to Tuscarawas. Had some lady call me at the office saying we should rename Tuscarawas to Tusc because nobody calls it Tuscarawas and out of town people can't figure out what you are talking about when you call it West Tusc. Something tells me she was batty enough to call your commisioners down there and do the same thing about your county name.

Glad to hear you got your bike back

    Indeed.

Brennan's, Pickles don't open 'til 4pm. It was good - Cajun Catfish sandwich. Busy place.

I most certainly do not, but hell, the tag needed gettin'. Of all the towns to pass through, suprisingly, Chardon was the most gridlocked.
