I've been on rt 16 from Marion to Tazwell. Great road, but watch out for the coal trucks on weekdays.

If you get down past Tazewell stay away from Burkes Gardens, nothing to see over there.:evil
If you decide to still venture S past Marion there nothing to see over Mt Rogers and the FS roads up there.
Whatever you do, don't take 603 Fairwood/Laurel Valley 58 from 16 in Troutdale over to Damascus.

Maybe I'll run into you. Not sure we've met. If you see my black 2012 650 Vstrom up there look me up. I don't think we've met. (Could be wrong about that).

I do not believe we've met. I'll be on an F800 with a red seat. Not likely to be any others there like that. Departure time will be dictated by when I get done with my daughter's soccer game tomorrow morning. I'll check my PM's before I head out.

I'll wave if I see any of you today, headed up to Oberlin for lunch with some other vintage Brit bike types. Hopefully they won't mind the modern Brit bike :D

I didn't quote your massive ass pic, but my bags look oddly smaller than yours in it, despite the fact that they are the same size and the bikes are right next to each other. Wierd.

I went yesterday, Anybody else go? Not many people there, rode an FJR, super 10 and FZ8. Then i got back on my KTM, and ran the same route as the test bikes. I picked the right bike. :rofl.

I could see myself owning an FJR someday though, like flying on a carpet above the road. Awesome bike, but handled like a dumptruck compared to the motard.

I almost rode up there; and was thinking of grabbing the Tag. I was taking a pic of the Grandsons at the Cuyahoga Valley Nat'l Park sign at Truxell Rd by the golf course when a group rode by. We were on an ADVenture of a different sort. Nice cool day for some muddy hiking at the Ledges.

There's a group of ADV bikes currently at the Roscoe Motor Inn at Coshocton. I had talked to one of the guys a while back, they are from Ontario Canada and come to the Coshocton area once a year for a week to do some riding in eastern Ohio. I think a portion of the group was riding through Lisbon a few days ago when we stopped at the Steel Trolley for lunch.

Rode the Super 10 as well at around 10:30 and then headed to Aurora for a free lunch. They did not have the bike I wanted to ride, XT250, so I didn't stay long. Meef pointed out that I am probably the first person in history to go to a Yamaha demo day looking to ride the lesser of their 250 dual sports and ride the 10 just because. :D

To bad they didn't have the XT250, I have one and it's a great bike. You are not alone in wanting to ride the "lesser" of the bikes.:D If you make it down to southern Ohio let me know you can take a ride on mine.

I'll be down south for a few days at the end of the month on my WR exploring and camping if you want to meet up. Where exactly are you?
