So a few weeks ago the guy that works across the hall from me came into work with a new nerf gun. He's a new dad and he is really getting into goofing around with his son...
...anyways he has inadvertently started a Nerf arms race at our office. These new nerf guns are kind of incredible. They shoot 75 feet and with pretty decent accuracy. So the guy next door to him bought one of their disc cannons. They have been going at it for awhile now. This morning the guy with the disc cannon walks into my office with a plastic bag. He handed it to me with a slow nod and walked out. It's a Nerf pistol.

Now there are Nerf darts and discs littering the halls around here.....

    :lol3

We had a 15 minute battle today after everyone came back from lunch that felt a lot like this

    Ha!

Little Stain has quite the NERF arsenal. Its not uncommon to be woken up by a Nerf Pistol thrown at your head, already loaded, with a challenge.

I'm not scared of the Nerf guns... its the Nerf Swords that hurt like a bastard. Goes for the knees everytime!

BB guns, firecrackers, and some kind of prickly pear type thing that grew on vines that we called popovers... Can't get much cooler than that, even with Nerf. :evil

(yes, I still bear some scars:lol3)

It all starts with a single blaster. Next thing you know you have hundreds of dollars tied up in Nerf. Best blaster for clandestine operations is a Jolt!

We have gotten to the point of not bothering to use the guns, the darts throw fairly well, and if you can surprise someone over their monitor they jump about 3 ft in the air, great fun till its you :D

My boy is a Nerf fanatic. The Vulcan is cool but it's cyclic rate is too slow.
I'm told the new Elite line is tits.

We've had more than one epic Nerf skirmish in our house that has caused the dog
    to run for cover.

I had to grab that Vulcan before they stopped making it. :lol3

Where the hell were these things when i was a kid? We were on an honor system with imaginary bullets. Yeah. That always went well.

Nerf battles are awesome. My best friend and I, his sons, his wife & his 60 year old mother have had several running nerf gun battles in his home. Nerf swords, bow & arrows, belt fed, magazine fed, revolver...you name it we use.

    Yeah...43 going on 8. :D

I got banned from using our nerf guns by the "Domestic Goddess"... atleast untill we have kids. I came out of the hallway and snap shot her on the couch while she was watching tv... apparently she had stopped watching tv at some point and was checking the inside of her eyelids for cracks at that point. :lol3

What the hell are those things? We had them where I grew up
in Michigan. We called them poppies. I have never been able to
figure out what they are actually called.

Before fatherhood, I had a Nerf Maverick revolver that I would use to play with the cat (she would fetch the darts). Now, the game is to shoot at my seven year old daughter while she tries to dodge. She has a hard time cocking those things, so she doesn't shoot back much.

I'm now searching for Nerf darts and easily concealable, high capacity Nerf weapons. I need something to put under my pillow.

The Easter Bunny has seen fit to leave Little Stain a Nerf Raider CS-35 and an extra 30 round magazine.

Tomorrow morning - it's on like Donkey Kong!

Yeah. Ok. So I'm the Easter Bunny. Mrs. Stain is a better kind of bunny and this thing needed testing before tomorrow morning.

My nephew is an engineering student at Columbia. In his dorm he said hey have insane battles. They make their own guns, one guy had a CO home built that fired something like 300 rounds a minute and he made a drum to hold 400 or so.
Last I spoke to him they were working on high powered accurate sniper setups.
