From their website : "Please note that our NeverWet products are NOT available for Consumers as a Retail product at this time. We expect to have retail spray can products available by mid 2012."

I just came across this video on the web. According to their website, the stuff will be available to consumers mid 2012.

I'm just imagining my windshield and visor treated with this stuff, let alone my jacket.

    Excellent question...

    ...and I have no idea!

I do know one thing though... if you get in a chocolate syrup war, your shirt won't get dirty at all. :clap

The shirt will never really get dirty because it repels the dirt so you don't need to wash it!

I would like to stand in line for several cans of this stuff, where does it start?

Really... I can only imagine how much trouble average "consumers" will get into when using this product.

Nothing is 100% as good as it sounds. I bet whatever you spray with this (clothing wise) will end up with the breathability of a water baloon. I wonder how stiff clothing ends up after you spray it with it.

If you dropped something coated in this stuff in a bucket of water, would it repel the surface and hover on top of the water or repel the water outwards and sink to the bottom?

I'm sure a boat could become more efficient if the hull repelled water.

    Want.

This looks interesting. Wonder if it bakes off hot surfaces

Certainly would make clean up easier after a day on the trail.......... much less help mud's grit not even stick around to wear on things in the first place
