I get to do my first commute tonight, and it's supposed to be in the 30s in the morning when I get off shift.

I decided to go ahead and wire for my Gerbing's heated gear and for a Battery Tender jack. There will still be a couple weeks of cold mornings here.

The awesomeness of this little scoot continues...

This is the first bike I've ever worked on that didn't require removing any body work at all, or making any type of modification at all for the wiring.

There is plenty of room in the battery compartment for the inline fuses to fit behind the battery cover. I was able to fish the wires through the front body work into the filler cap area very easily.

A trick I've taught myself over the years is to fold a small cable tie in half and wedge it under the nut on the battery terminal. It holds the nut in place while you make your connections. It makes life easier. :D

Battery compartment buttoned up. When not in use, the wiring is concealed behind the fuel filler door keeping everything out of the weather. Kewl!

Look under "wiring harness". There is the light, and there is the switch. Combined, they are close to $80 before shipping. I would keep searching ebay for used, on invent your own setup for much less.
