Big thanks to motocityktm for the useful info you keep posting!
Steamboat Powersports just got two in today. I put a deposit down on one and pick it up next Saturday. Can't wait!
I did get a chance to sit on one and mess around with the TFT display. It's absolutely badass. Also, for anyone wondering, an iPhone 7+ fits in the phone storage compartment.
I'm sure the answer is no to this, but anyone able to get a discount??
That's great I was wondering about that thanks
I got a ktm shirt
Collect mine tomorrow. Based in SoCal.
But then there is this...
Pretty sure that is a BRP/Scott's sub mount on ogio855's bike in post 2210 of this thread. Would have to be an existing kit if it is. I talked to BRP and Scott's month's ago and they said they weren't sure of fitment and had to wait like you said.
How about it ogio?
Yeah there's no fitment issue at all on mine, I was curious because of the difference in top clamp design. But, it seems to not be an issue. The pin on the bridge sits maybe 1mm higher than before. It use to be flush with the rod on the damper now it sticks up just so.
Put a deposit on one on Monday - got it for $ 16900. Altus Motorsports in Altus Oklahoma. Have bought 3 units from them in the past. Always cheaper but out in the middle of the boonies . Not in for another week but great to work with. Worth the drive for me. $ 14084 for the 1090. Out the door prices .
Wow those are impressive numbers. Out here in Ca. sales tax alone is good for 1349.51, lic & reg $199 (which almost seems low for here), tire fees (recycling), and freight too. Im OTD for $20,195.01 . Crazy how different areas price things.
Remember I am out of state so I will pay taxes when I register in NM. Still they have consistently sold to me 800- 900 dollars less then other dealers - i think because they are really out in fly over country. ( I am too.). Talk to Jordan if interested in what they can offer.
Do anybody know if the 2017 1290 s a r bone stock air filters are good to go, or does that air box still have issues for 2017? so like if i buy the bike do i need to order up the rottweiler air filters? thanks for any feed back
Well sounds like they got the air box fixed but I would get rid of the paper filter you can go with uni or go with power cell like I did a little more money but very good set up and quite
I'm still waiting to hear from my dealer.
Its a done deal for me as I have two cashiers checks waiting for my dealer to cash. I wouldn't back out no matter what as I have given my word our deal is good(words beyond money mean a lot to me-I gave it I deal with it). When you wrote OTD prices I really thought that you were saying ready to ride, and all registered etc. I seriously was blown away by your numbers but not enough to effect my deal (it is what it is at this point). I would assume that you will have to tack on a fair amount to that after you deal with your local authorities but still you did good, and I am happy for you! Hope you really enjoy it. Have fun, and as someone else put it braaap F'*&^*& BRAAAP!!!
***As a side note my bike did NOT come in today. Bummer. I guess I work on my sons truck tomorrow (sad face) LOL***
Trying to decide between the KTM and the Altrider Skid plates myself. Any reason you decided for the Altrider? The KTM seems thicker. The Altrider how thick is it?
It's going to be hard letting go of my 1190r today. But I think the 1290 r will cheer me up
