In one of my drops with the huge Fastway Adventure pegs the footpeg mount actually broke.

    No pics.
The pin goes through the two holes of the footpeg mount.
The force on the pin just ripped through one of the mount holes leaving a “half” mounting hole.
    Speed was less than 10mph.
That footpeg mount material is not confidence inspiring. Looks brittle.

I may be having the fueling issue some have experienced with an '18 1290 SAR I picked up last month. It's back with the dealer now, who can't yet reproduce the issue I had, which was to stutter and cut out, and finally die, three times in five miles, just riding on level pavement, steady throttle. (I had to coast off the road and restart it.)

I remember reading the accounts here and have tried to search for them again but probably missed some. Anything I should suggest for the dealer? A bulletin number ... something to jiggle?

I have those same pegs. At least the pegs are still good.

Replace your fuel and make sure there are no kinks in the lines. Make sure all the evap shit is correctly connected with no kinks, or at least have a proper removal kit. Most of all fueling shit just hangs at the bottom front of the bike. It's probably bad fuel hanging out somewhere in the tank or a physical problem. If it was electronic, the fuel pump, or injectors, it would probably be more a catastrophic failure.

[IMG] here’s a new one. Washed my bike today noticed the head light was loose and found the threaded piece that goes into the headlight adjuster and connects to the bottom of the headlight assembly broke. Look at part schematics it looks as though it comes with the headlight adjuster. Anyone have an idea on a part number, has this happened to anyone else?

Just change out the fuel filter, that's all.

Yep happened to me too when I was replacing the headlight after installing GPS power supply. Glued it back with a clutter of composite.
Surprised your the first reporting this it's a pretty weak part.
My dealer was so kind to replace it under warranty.
He also carefully bent those 4 pins holding the ball a tiny bit out and lubed it with teflon spray or something like it.
Now the ball pops out a lot easier. Less chance for braking ruins thing again.

This is the last fix I’m waiting on for the bike. Dealership created their own temp. bracket until the new one from KTM was delivered. Should be going in the next week or so for the replacement.

When I plug my usb port in, it lights up (charging) even when the bike is off? Is it going to drain my battery if I don't pull it out each time? Seems like a weird oversight

And if it was key powered people would complain that they couldn't use it with the engine off.

I finally sold my 1090r and bought a 1290r, I was missing the power of my 1190r. This bike is absolutely amazing I should have bought this bike in the first place. I did a 75 mile ride mostly offroad and I think the 1290r is better than the 1090r offroad. I think the motor and the way it lugs is amazing it just idles up rocky steep trails. on the highway the 1290 blows my mind it's so smooth and powerful!!

Interesting. I have a 1290 SAR and brother just got the 1090. Can’t do a direct compare however since we’re in different states.

The finance company KTM uses must be idiots-seems like they will lend to ANYONE. I'm approved.
