This. Also the wiki is forming up nicely (link in my sig).
Because my bike is an 08 there was no beefy collar replacement available. I believe I have one from a Suzuki 1000 on it now.
It's what SMS used when they set my suspension up.
Superplush makes one.
well good luck with that.
is that a recent offering? Rally Raid UK makes them for the 09 and newer but the 08's have a different thread pitch.
I posted this up a few months back.
Its not a different thread pitch.. different shock diameter I think.
You can get it here
Ok, maybe not different pitch...different though that the 09 and newer collars don't fit. I have not been around the forum too much lately. I will check it out. thanks for the link.
sales person mentioned that no changes to both MY, even the decals are the same. hmmm
oh well no diff to me. I LOVE IT! =X
I've been looking into a merge preload adjuster , they are no longer made but maybe a group buy might influence
Them in a production run
I'd like one for the 2008 SMR
But its so easy to find in 440 pages..
(I had trouble finding my own post)
That does look pretty sweet. I'd be down for one if somebody can get it done for the 690...
This is the 690 forum reloaded...the first one was even bigger.
25K miles later.
That's why MuffinMan started the 690 Wiki. In an attempt to sort through all the clutter and flufff and have an easy reference directory, so if you have a good bit of info that every 690 owner should have please let him know so he can upload it.
KTM 690 WIKI
mileage has nothing to do with it. Using a screwdriver to adjust those original spindly rings is a recipe for disaster. If you have one of the improved beefier ones you can hack away with it all day with your screw driver.
OK then already done, Not like I change sag everyday.
great news ... As from today there is a new map for the 690 regards to the stalling and the boot popping off like mine has been doing,
my bike was in the dealers for that very reason when the info came in from ktm
so i will let you all know when i get a chance to go for a ride
