The Evo2 Rally kit just landed on my door step!
I will post pics toinight when I get home!
So Baja Dad; Are you bringing your 690 to the M1k so I can see it...?
Oh, and ktmmitch, you are pretty good at marketing... a dash of mystery mixed with machined billet imagery. :eek1
You know what we
Yes I will be riding my Rally raid 690 and my son will be riding a Rally lite KTM 400
Some fool is letting a rear wheel for a 690 go for a smokin deal..about $150 less than retail.
Knucklehead fer sher.
DHL just dropped off my Rally Raid tanks Ye-haw!
Filler Neck is not aluminum ...
I recived my black tank a few day ago!
I wish my pipe maker would finish my Rally down pipe so I could install the Evo2 kit!!!
You don't know how to weld?
I do but I have No tube bender, and besides he owes me !!!!!!
Ah, that works I just buy straight pipe and use a chop saw to make fittings and Tig weld it together.
Does it actually requires a rally style exhaust to fit the Evo 2 tanks? I thought it was actually designed to clear the exhaust?
Jeepers Aaron - You sure found some new love for your 690! I didn't think you liked that bike? I'll get a chance to see it in MX and can hardly wait. I'm driving the truck this year.
No the Evo 2 was built to work with the stock exhaust
Beaney is that the 450RR rear tank or the stock tank painted black? I know the 450 RR uses the same tank as the 690 except that the tank is not cut for the fuel pump.
It's amazing what will happen when you can actually ride a bike without having it die randomly. 63 hp at the wheel as opposed to 62 at the crank helps, along with the extra 12ft/lbs I plan on having 8 gallons on board for MX this year, I'll be running the 170 mile stage wihout stopping for fuel The 690 is the perfect bike for the MX1k, longer chassis, big power and lots of fuel.
Stock tank painted white
Rally tank above
Time for your morning coffee, eh?
Stock 690 tank is already black, the 450 RR tank is bigger and shaped differently, and both have the same cutout (690 has a pump and 450 a plate with a barb there).
