I have the lowering link on mine & it works fine...I still need to shorten my kickstand so it will lean over a little more...

I've no experience with the lowering links but just thought I'd mention I was amazed how much better my '11 does over washboardy type terrain, big hits, stairs etc than the 08 and the whole time I'm riding it I'm thinking it that the difference 1" of travel made in the rear end? I've no idea if lower links would take it back to the 08 harshness or not,...

Need to get my boingers all taken care of for my weight and the TAT this summer.

Who are people using today. I was thinking of sending them to KTMworld, any other suggestions out there???

Thx for the heads up. I think I will give the lowering link a go just cause it is so cheap.

Cover didn't need modifying, I couldn't get the it to work by flipping the axel. may be me if others have been able to. I'll give it another go.

thanks i had a look , the seperate meters use a wire wrapped around a HT lead for the signal, no use on the 690 though.

Man, this bike is sweet, but boy do I hate being 5"8. I might have to sell it or trade it for a different bike. Gonna try a link first.

I recently had some problems with mt 690. It would just die during a ride and no fault code ect, Wouldn't start, trailer it home and in a few hours it would be fine. Anyhow this happened a few times so I checked all the wiring, all good. Pulled the fuel pump and a small piece of foil had blockced the fuel pick up, would fall off when left to sit then suck it bck up again.
    Anyhow a cheap fix. :clap

Does anybody know how much offset the 2012 690 Enduro models are running in the triple clamps? I think it was KTMmitch that posted it was increased from the previous 22-24mm, and axle clamp offset reduced, in order to gain more steering lock.

A guy on another forum wants to put on a set of full travel closed cartridge forks so he would probably have to switch to the older triples.
