I'm very unsure of what we were trying to achieve here, maybe destructive testing of the bikes - and riders.

Key training for re-taking the Falkland Islands no doubt.

I like the 2 guys being made to do pushups off to the side. Back in the day we were told; "you'll be smart or you'll be strong". That brings back some memories.

That video cements the argument for laser guided munitions :D

:fpalm That was funny, but man do I feel bad for those guys... did they pick the least familiar with a motor vehicle soldiers available or put dirt in the throttle cables and triple bearings to make it "fun" :loco

Back in 1970n I rode the Jackpine 500 as a novice and I did everyone of those things at least 500 times. Fond but painful memories

    Hilarious!

I taught myself to ride in 1974 at age 12 on a 1968 enduro and I don't think I was as bad as these guys. Of course, maybe I was!

About ten years ago I went on a ride around Johnny Park with a bunch of guys I'd never ridden with before. That video could have been a documentary of how the day went.

So in 1952 my Dad was a Royal Military Police Motorcycle Cop. He was stationed in the Suez in Egypt when his tour ended. They needed the Matchless back in Germany so...Left-Tenant Wood; Please deliver this motorcycle to Germany post haste sir!...Off he went! The ride took him through the Holy Land, across the straights at Constantinople and through the Baltic's and the Alps to Germany...O, well this won't do...This bike is meant to be in England at Sandhurst where you are due to report for Military College in 2 weeks time; You'd better get cracking old chap! So...Of he went across Europe!

    Can you iMAGINE!!??? :rilla

I showed him this video...He said, yeah not much has changed in 60 years!!! Hahahah. The British are so understated!
