    Go to a Suzuki dealer and check to see if the part #s are the same. They could be identical. Suzuki does that a lot to save money and inventory. You sure your harness is not already set for all lights on the E series? If not an S has turn signals, horn, fan , high low beam lights just like the SM does.

    My harness probably had some of that stuff at some point but has been so jacked up by previous owners that I think I’m better off just starting over. There are multiple connectors that have been cut off, whole chunks of the loom missing, etc.

    What I was saying is to check out E, SM and S of that year and you will likely find out it is the same harness. You can do this at a shop or maybe on Bike Bandit.com which gives stock parts #s as well.

    I maybe wasn’t clear with what I was asking. I’m nearly 100% certain that the S and SM wiring harnesses are the same, but they are not the same as the E. What I was looking for was info on whether people have used an S/SM harness on and E before and if it can be made to work without a ridiculous amount of messing around.
