It's FFM. Right at $200 everywhere I looked. Local Honda shop is where I got mine. No one in Blenheim carried it in stock so I had to have them order it. Fits same as their motox helmets that they do keep in stock.

Been a long time since I've been on here. I still haven't really done any good off road riding with the bike. Been busy shooting my longbows lately. My dad builds bows back home and he sent me my bows a couple months ago. Went to a tournament south of chch last weekend and ended up getting second! Time to start shooting broadheads. Anyway, I'm putting the Hondas up for sale. I should have listened from the start and got something my wife and I could ride two up on. I bought a 97 1100gs though! I have to go to Fox Glacier to pick it up this weekend. I"m going to bus there then ride home. If the weather is alright I may take my little tent and spend a couple days getting back to Blenheim. I won't have any extra stuff in case of problems (extra parts, flat fix), so I'll probably stick to main roads. Anyone have any suggestions on a good route from Fox to Blenheim, or want to tag along for a ride?

That roady version looks to have FT500 wheels & forks. Should be a great combination, aye Padmei.

And an FT engine. Sounds like I'm missing some of Padmei's history. Also sounds like he should buy them! ;)

:lol3 No it's an inside joke from years ago.

    I started this one off

    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/94247-The-wall-of-coolness

if you look at the first post under poochunks you'll see an image of an FT that I rate as one of the worst looking bikes of all time. XF650 of course being a wearer of elbow patches on his home spun knitted jumpers used to have one & took offense.:D

Since kiwibiker has a ridiculous outdated rule about oversized pics oscar started this one

we really should kick start it back again.

Got the bike and love it! I ended up driving to fox with my wife so she could follow me home. Since she was following me I didn't explore any. Just a pick up, turn and burn home. It was still a great ride. Barely got rained on, but didn't really stop for pics. Wife was in a hurry to get home. Only problem is that the front master cylinder has started leaking. I hope this isn't the start to a long list of small problems. Anyone know where I can find a rebuild kit for the front master? I've been searching the internets for a while and can't find one anywhere in NZ.

    Here's the bike.

You'll need to order one from the UK. Ironically, my clutch slave cylinder started to leak the last time I was in Blenheim with my bike.

Since I'll be moving there soon, I hope it won't happen again :-).

Hahaha, I'll take you up on that. Hopefully I'll be able to get some riding time in, the new job will keep me on my toes. The Nelson boys seem a little too posh to hang out with. If I remember correctly, they have traffic lights and a beach right in town. :D

Yeah they're posh alright, some of them even buy their motorcycles BRAND NEW!
And that beach.....sounds all very nice and stuff, but there's no point because you're not allowed to ride motorcycles on it.

I'll be there sometime mid January. We'll fly down before then, to find a place to live. With a bit of luck we'll sell the house soon. Moving all of our stuff will be the biggest headache.

I must admit, I've bought the 1150 new, but that was 10 years and 190000 km ago. So it's too old now to be let into Nelson.

I wonder what they do with their beach, if you can't ride on it? I sure hope the fishing is good.
