Been lurking for a while, finally created an account.

I'm Philip, 34. British, but lived in NYC for a decade. Hence the screen name from NY-Lon(don).

Grew up on dirt bikes, and finally got my US license. Hoping to get out of the big apple as much as possible, and onto some trails.

Have a couple of trips lined up, the biggest (for now) will be riding down to Charlotte with a friend in April. After that, I'd really like to check out the TransAm trail.

Hope to get to know some of you folk

welcome philip to the aslyum. posting in the nyc commuter thread is a good idea, that's where most of the nyc folks hang here (i think). there is another british guy here if i remember his handle correctly.

good to see another klr rider too, watch out though as they are likely to get stolen.

also when it gets warmer out and the posers start riding, tuesday is bike night at the ear inn, something you should pop by and come at least once.

I live in Midtown / K-Town, pretty much central Manhattan.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

PS. I was in Patagonia and bumped into a regular on the forum: Franki. He'd ridden from SF down to nearly Ushuaia, it'd taken him 4 months. On a KLR!

    Hey Nylon

I've been in this forsaken town for thirty sorry years - Bristol born, now living in Brooklyn (the better boro). Once you realize how boring Manhattan is you'll be over here too!

    Welcome
