You would need a letter of conformity from the Kawasaki representative in Canada, since US rep may not provide one. You could ask though.

Once you get the letter the procedure should be pretty straightforward. Brought a couple of vehicles to Canada and guess the process ain't much different for other direction.

[edit] Also mind the speedo on motors from Canada could be in km/h only

Which I don't understand, as I love mine too. Kawasaki stated upon introduction that they weren't going to build a motorcycle for a market that was largely illusionary - i.e. riding your GS around the world, when the worst most will see is the Alcan (and I ride my FZ1 on that...) or maybe the Dempster - and maybe Kawasaki was wrong. Maybe the market is mostly about image, and people will pay a lot extra for that. I think GS, KTM, etc. are fine bikes, but the Versys 1000 is a great bike and value for real world use.

I doubt the new V will be 4500$ better than the Versys 1k.

Yeah, cause it's going to be about the same type of bike dressed up in ADV drag. At least the Kawi is honest about what it is! :evil

Hoping to get a versys 1000 myself, my motorbike got stolen so I'm just waiting for the payout.

Can anyone point me to the other versys 1000 thread?

My brother is seriously considering buying a Versys 1000. He has a smoking deal in one, but he is pukled back by reviews and comments from owners on very annonying vibrations at crusing speed. What are you guys experience concerning that?

Every engine has a spot of 500-1000 revs where it doesn't like to sit.
Don't use those revs or change the gear, or gearing to avoid it is what I'd
do. I never rode the Versys but Z1000 seemed very smooth to me.

Its a minor issue and is a non-issue for me.

As an owner with 34k kms on my Versys 1000 (in 6 months) I recommend him to read less reviews and ride more . :deal

Probably be easier to kidnap the Kawasaki CEO's daughter and demand the turds to bring it to the US.
