    Hello all!

I am new to this board so I welcome all compliments and rude remarks. This board appears to be a lot 'tamer' than my usual hiding place, labusas.org, so I don't expect to hear too many derogatory comments.

I just purchased a 2001 as an in-between bike while I get my ZX12R repaired after a lowside incident... The bike was used with 5800 miles, front, rear, and saddle bags on it. I'd always liked the rough look of the bike and fully intend to ride it in conditions it was built for. So far, I like the bike a lot!

First- I don't know anything about KLR's and I'd like to know what mods are out there to improve it: pipe, carb, suspension, etc....

Second- I'd also like to know if anyone from the Phoenix area is out there to ride with.

Hey, Green Streak, welcome! Us KLR riders don't get too much respect for our rides around here, but I have to tell ya, when it comes to heading for Baja it's hard to beat.

The first order of business for us was installing a decent front brake and braided lines. There are some pretty good KLR resource pages, like http://klr650.www.50megs.com/mods/index.html and http://msnhomepages.talkcity.com/PassportPl/texastrails/klr.htm

Yeah, it's pretty tame but you have to stay on guard; there's stuff in the water.

    :shark

    Thanks,
    Baldy

I was actually going to call Swampnut a pig fucking sperm bubble blower but, I changed my mind until I test the waters of this board.

I guess the waters have been tread upon!!! :)

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Apparently the water is to our liking.

Greenie, you're still a slow bitch.

It's a decade later now. What has happened since the last post at 9-29-2001 @12:38 pm? Posting on old threads is creepy. You don't know what old ghost might still be lurking around. It's like resurrecting the dead.
