Nice!!! in another life,(or so it seems) I used to build/restore early Cj's and M series jeeps.

We haven't really went after the 4x crowd, Right now bikes and OEMs are keeping us pretty busy, but its in the future.

Any update on the 70 watt 8" LED you mentioned a while back? Sounds intriguing!

Potentially better than the dual long range extreme, with the capability to drop in a DOT approved 8" halogen???

We already have the DOT Halogen in the Rally light.:deal A halogen will never compare to the latest LED offerings. Halogen and HID are dead.
I don't think a single light housing will beat out a set of 2 long range extreme LED lights, but we will see. Those lights are really good.
cant wait to post the new photos.

Yes its coming along, sometime after the new year.

We had an issue with a vendor using our Team The heavyweight's 24 hr race film for their own marketing efforts and had to pull it several days ago.
    .
Our sponsors are very important to us.:deal

Here is the redistributed film. Thanks for checking it out.

Cool video, I was wondering what happened to it. Good to see vendors riding/racing and putting their products to the test.

I think I read somewhere that Radek will be doing the Baja Rally 2? I'll be working as a volunteer for the event again so I'm excited to see his bike & light setup.

Thanks, I started this entire lighting business out of a personal need for good lighting products 12 years ago, Its been a long road:huh
Im not sure what Radek is doing on the BR or what he will be doing for lights. I don't think that's a night event?
I'm on the fence for competing, You might just see me there as well.

just to let y'all know I ordered a pair of the Optimus Long Rang Round in 20 deg beams.

I'll report back on the beams, I wanted a bit more spread than the pencil beam 10 deg.

Going home for Christmas today!!! up at 4:00AM, work all day, be in Charlotte 11:00Am tomorrow.

but gotta be back up here 02Jan2014 :cry so after I do the family running around thing (new Grandson :clap), I'll have a week to do things and get some riding in.

This had been a very informational topic for me. I would like to ask with all of the nice options for aux lights for motorcycles why LED headlights seem to be so far and few inbetween from vendors? I know of a couple of options but are model specific. Yes, they are expensive but they work well. I know LED is the future and worth paying extra for.

The short answer is china isn't making them. Most of the providers here on advrider are offering Chinese made lights.

The other and more complete answer is
Right now any aftermarket motorcycle LED "Headlight" is not DOT/CE certified, there is the DOT Truck light and one other DOT LED headlight designed for autos, but the performance is lack luster IMO.
Ourselves and Baja designs are the only ones offering any real performance LED headlights that I am aware of. But again neither is DOT approved.

Well I'm glad I found this topic on this forum today. I just spent pretty much all day searching the web and reading up on all the LED aux. light options from all the better known quality vendors out there.
I have pretty much made up my mind and decided to go with your long range Optimus series. Just haven't made up my mind on the 10 or 20 degree yet, maybe one of each?

I had a 950 Adventure with the PIAA 1100X series (non L.E.D.) on it. I thought they were OK and still have them on my 12 SMT 990 but I have a new 1190R on order and am expecting it any day now. I thought I'd step into the 21 century and try some LED's this time. :lol3

I also have a 530 EXC that desperately needs more light.

You look familiar, have you been to the KTM rallies?
I may have already talked to you in the past about lighting.

Really enjoyed watching the videos of you guy's picking on the little bikes at the desert races, great stuff. You certainly know how to throw those bikes around.

Thanks so much for all the great info and products. I'll be trying them out shortly.

    Chris

    Thanks Chris!
I have been to the KTM Rallies, unfortunately missed this last year in Co.:cry
We recently had a photographer take some beam shots of all the different lights. Hopefully I'll be able to post those very soon.
I personally prefer the 10 degree beams
That might be the best way to really see the difference. I know many are waiting for comparison beam Photos.

We had a real Photographer take these shots with specific instructions to make them 100% realistic, as much as we tried inhouse to do that, some things are best left to the pros.
These absolutely represent what you should expect in performance from Cyclops lights, No gimmicks, no over exposed photos and no trickery shots up a hill.
All are two light sets on a test bench, Imagine adding your bikes headlight to the mix.
    Thank You Angela Goodman.. :clap:clap:claphttp://angelargoodmanphotography.com/

The shop truck is parked at 600 ft, the gate behind the truck is at 900 ft
Cones are at 100 ft intervals. The slide show startes out with the smallest to the strongest Motorcycle LEDs we offer.

I hope everyone had a great New Year. My plans changed with not enough snow to ride the Snowbike, I resorted back to the 950. What a great way to end a fantastic year!
