Does anyone have any experience upgrading the main jets on a 1971 Titan after installing aftermarket air filters? I got a pair of those $9 Emco cone filters and I'm finding that my engine has become starved for gas. At the default float needle setting, the bike has very little power when accelerating from a standstill. As I raise the needle the power delivery improves, but it is pretty clear to me that it needs a larger jet. What size should I jump to? I'm on holiday right now and don't have the info about the current jets in front of me but I assume that it's whatever was in it when it left the factory. I'm also planning on installing a couple inline fuel filters which I hope will improve fuel delivery (or at least keep the jets a little bit cleaner!).

    Thoughts?

what throttle position are you jetting? i assume you're not wacking it open and dumping the clutch so if it's flat at the bottom richen air screw and/or bigger pilot jet to fix lean at 0-1/4 throttle. if it's lean at full throttle than go to a bigger main jet. if it's lean in the 1/4-3/4 range raise needle.
