Search "buckman" and "southern" in this forum. Check out RideFreak's videos too.

All the single track you need at the following:
    Buckman--Santa Fe
    Alcalde--Espanola
    Rainbow west of Rio Rancho
    Gordy's Hill down at Socorro

Do a search and you will find RR on all.

    fyi,
Got approached by the game warden several weeks back while getting ready to head into the Puerco(at Southern), he was looking for plates. We had plates on our DS bikes, he didn't check our papers.

Not much help when it comes to maps.

Your bike should atleast be OHV plated.

Check out NMOHVA web site. Both Alcalde and Buckman have been gps'd. If need additional info, pm me and I'll see if I can get you what you need.

+1 on Buckman :thumb it's fast NM singletrack weaving through the Pinions, plenty of trails to keep you busy. West Abq is going to be allot of sand & some whoops depending on the route but still a great ride with about 80sq mi of trails, everything from Moabish slickrock to 70mph arroyos, bring fresh knobbies and don't forget your wheaties that day.

The law seems to be hit our miss out there, it's almost my backyard so I ride there allot, I've never been stopped but others are reporting an increased LEO presence in the area, if they don't pull up on at the truck they're pretty easily avoided as you can usually see 'em from a long way off and take a different trail.

Wish I could, but I'll be out of town. I think AKASY has some of Southern mapped on gps, so you might send him a pm.

Im going out to Rowe Mesa to scope out the 2 and single track from the winter on sunday the 26th. It's clear of snow and should be moist but mud free, or snow in the shadows. Elevation is 7000-7500 ft mostly pinion juniper, some Ponderosa. I'll meet at the 285/Vista Grande Gas station in Eldorado at 11am on the 26th and head out through Apache Canyon /FR51. Il be riding the red KLR with the USD fork mod.
