Hello all, I am looking to get replacement part for my 1986 R65. It is the Motometer clock as can be referenced at the below link.

    Motometer Clock

I have not been able to find one available on any of the BMW parts website I frequent.

However I found a site in Great Britain and Germany that sells replicas and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them.

They are made by IVEKA. MotoBins http://www.motobins.co.uk/ sell them for about 52 pounds.

Or here http://www.munichmotorcycles.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=2848 for about 190.00 USD.

Does anyone here know anything about them?

Or if anyone here has a used one, I would be interested.

    Thanks,
    JPB

    Hello !
Some of the links you provide are broken.
But I've still to find a clock with the set button on the REAR of the clock (leaving the front glass without any holes).
AFAIK only Motometer produced such clocks.
Last but not least, "plain" automotive 52mm dia clocks can be found cheaper than 190 USD...

I replaced mine with a VDO Standard Line marine grade clock I bought at an online boat shop. Was way cheaper than the OEM. VDO Part number 370 501. I think I paid around $70 Cdn to my door. It has been working fine for 5 years now.

Tried finding pix of your clock, Dave, but came up blank. Does the marine VDO adjust out the front or the back?

Try putting up a want ad on IBMWR. I bought one there a few years back for $50, but have since sold it. They aren't THAT rare, so you shouldn't have much trouble getting your hands on one. Just give it some time.

Thanks all! I found something that might work for about 50.00 plus shipping.
