    Follow Up Report:

Lone Star BMW ended up installing two different sets of RH cam shaft sprockets to restore it to spec. That quieted the engine a bit but then the RH throttle body crapped out on me which was particularly nasty. Fortunately it didn't catch me in a bad spot of traffic.

I've had the bike back for a few days with limited opportunity to ride but so far it seems to be good as new. Enduro Pro mode still makes it a wheelie machine. Have yet to do a top-end run which will be limited in duration running the Twinduros with their Q speed rating.

Using the new GSA for its intended purpose. One of them anyway---this is such a great motorcycle, I'm not sure where it's better---on or off road. Truth is, who cares?

Here on graded dirt and gravel in the mountains outside San Diego.

Saw this thread buried down there and I bumped it so we can avoid having 10 threads of the same.

With 2500 replies, this thread is many things, but buried isn't one of them.
The title is so vague that it's virtually worthless.

Always referred to for what? Potential problems? Actual problems? Comfort? Style? Tire selection?

This thread was posted to discuss the "new" water cooled Adventure, but that's old news now.

P.S. Captain should be capitalized. :smile6

Has anyone tried fitting a Givi E55 Maxia top case with the OEM side cases? If so was there any trouble being able to open the side case lids?

My E55 is currently mounted on top of a Jesse Compartment on my 1150GSA which is raises up the Givi high enough to avoid conflict. Just wondering what challenges I might face if I were lucky enough to upgrade to a Wethead.

    thanks

Here's a pic of my 2015 GSA after getting my new Clearwater Erica's installed. 850 miles on her already in just over a week and looking forward to many more.

Is that a Wolfman bag? I think I like it.

It is a Wolfman. The Peak bag. Fits the stock GSAW rack like it was made for it. Carries everything I need for a day ride. Cyclepump and tire gauge, 1st aid kit, owner manual, toolkit, tire repair kit, mesh net, and still has room when I stop to slip my Valentine 1 and GoPro inside so they're out of sight. Shock cord on top.

Expands a little bit (not alot) if I need some more space for a shirt when I need to take off a layer.

$129 and I paid $18 for a rain cover that I keep in a zip compartment inside.

:thumb Awesome, Thanks. Just what I was looking for.

I have the banana seat too and have been thinking about having James modify it as well. If you have a pic of what he did and how it looks, that would be tits.

    Twinsies! :lol3

I can see the outline for button placement that is absent a button.

Curiosity is the getting the better of me, and my google fu is weak. So what is missing?

Placed an order for a 2015 GSA LC and am considering fitting the enduro engine sump guard. Anyone fitted a fender extender which is compatible with the enduro sump guard?

I was going to get one, but you'll have to bash the guard with a hammer to bend it out of the way. I didn't fancy doing that!
