Instant ADV cred.
Chicks dig metal epoxy.
Finally replaced my ammo cans with some Jesse's yeaterday!
Can you give a price for these and can they be ordered to color match the bags?
Lid racks are $65 a set plus shipping. And they can be color matched if your bags are silver or black.

Quick question: now that the new R1200GS (2013, watercooled) has the exhaust on the right side, same as the Tiger 800 and Tiger Explorer, do you think the Odyssey II boxes for a Tiger will fit the racks you'll build for the R1200GS?
Do you guys try to fit the same cases with the same mounting holes to different bikes by making the rack appropriately?
I'm kind of liking the contrast. If you get bored, can you snap a few pictures showing the different color combinations? I have charcoal bags, so would especially like to see those represented.
From what I have seen, the bags are used in as many applications as possible. That said, I'm not sure that the Tiger bags have the appropriate cut-out. Likely he will have to make them specifically for the new Wethead.
They do have a cut out. Although it looks like the exhaust sits different enough to go for a new cutout shape:
Might make the racks different enough to not fit. Darn.
As far as we can tell, (we don't have a bike yet) the Wethead and Triumph bags will probably be the same. Just different mout systems to attach them to the motorbike. And yea, we do try to match up different model bikes with existing panniers. It helps us with production, and customers that get a different bike, can just change mounts.
Here's a linky to a slideshow Al made showing the color contrasts.
That would be awesome. I'll very likely buy a new GS late this year or early next and will likely keep the Tiger. Would be nice to have a single set of panniers.
Another question: do you make the Odyssey II also in a 9" version?
Negative. Not on the drawing board either. Most everyone in the world wants bigger, not smaller bags. That's why we made these....
Yeah, unfortunately. I want smaller, narrower bags ...
Just gotta be different, don't ya....
Yep. Main reason is that I travel alone on my own bike. My wife has her own bike with her own luggage ...
Not that I still carry a lot of her stuff though ...
We do make the Safari in a 9" size....
Few quick questions...
I have an 07 Vstrom 1000 now with your panniers on it. I'm debating selling it and stepping to the 650 Vstrom.
I'm pretty sure I could keep the same panniers for both bikes, correct?
Are the racks/panniers between the older 650s (2011 & older) and the new 2012+ 650s the same?
About how much would just a rack set cost?
I'm trying to decide if I want to sell the bike w/ the panniers and just buy new ones when I get my new bike, keep the panniers and just buy racks, just sell the racks, etc...
I will go on record as saying that while I have had a love/irritation relationship with Jesse over the years, mostly over parts issues on cases that don't seem that old to me, that if you make the cases interchangeable between the Triumphs and the Wasserboxer then I'll definitely step forward and buy a new set.
Also, I was able to buy one of the very last of the REALLY big top boxes - the one that needed to be placed over the passenger position and that's where I faithfully mounted mine. I am not holding my breathe but do wish that you'd put those back into production.

Didn't like the "coffin-like" look of the higher lids and that the lids were coming up to high compared to the seat.
You'd probably get more money if you sold the bike and luggage separately. Or offer to include it for what you would sell it for, minus a little for convenience. In my experience I always make more that way.
To answer your question, they sell the racks for $300. The cases look to be the same. Not sure if the racks are. They have a sepearte page on their site for the 2012, which leads me to believe the racks may be different.
