Thanks for the reply. Anyway how does the electric heaters work? I does see any on my carb.
The carb heater will have zero effect - its just for colder climates to lessen the chance of carb "icing" Although I'm in the UK, the bike was imported from Germany, I think? My W650 had one fitted but I've removed it and the associated wires & shite - along with the Emissions pipes too :huh Less is More in my book
ok, got it. I am from singapore(Asia) and i guess i does not need that.
Anyone know where can i get a set of carb in reasonable price? CMSNL is way too expensive.
btw this is my ride:

Nice ride marco83
What kind of exhaust do you have. I like the look of it, Same with the tank. Nice.
Where did the finned bevel drive cover come from? Mine was injured in a spill. Please PM me if you want to sell your stock one.
You'd think in Singapore one would have a zillion options to chose from for W650 aftermarket parts.
The most significantly modified W650 on the web are either from Japan or Singapore.. :huh
What's the view from your office window?
Can't show you, looks like I'm not allowed to post as of yet...
Wonder what's the threshold..
Not aware of any threshold for posting photos. Once you're an inmate, you should be good to go.
Only catch is that ADV no longer hosts photos, likely because of server space limitations or some such. Most of us host our photos on photobucket (free) smugmug (not free, but probably better quality).
Then you highlight the url in the photo host, click on the "mountain" icon in the "reply to thread" window, and you're home free . . .
Ha. That's probably it then. Darn.
Thanks ORexpat, greatly appreciated.
Well, there's a little more to it, buy not much. Here's the thread with the real gouge: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=919
Can't see the image the way you did it, but did click on the link. That's a nice bike; I like it!
She's rough, but cool ...
I don't have the "add attachment" box, but a list of tasks I"m allowed to do and not. I'm NOT allowed to add attachments... Which made me wonder about a number of post threshold before the site allows you to add pics...
Oh well, the links will do for now...
More like from my conservatory...
It's pretty easy to imbed an image in your post. Just click on the "Insert image" button and paste the link to your image.
p.s. I really like that tank badge. Cool bike.
Look for the "insert image" box, like this one:
That's the one where you paste the url from photobucket, or whatever host you're using for your images.
I had to try and post a picture of my bike, being a noob. This is "Wilma". I have had this bike since 2006 and still love it.
The badges travelled all the way from Oz to Burgundy... Fellow forum member who had stripped his W800 gave them to me.
I have figured out the process for embedding pics, yet when I copy/paste the link it still doesn't produce the picture... I'll try harder..
