Just recently purchased a used 990R and have some questions, The bike came with a Aux rally 2.2 gallon fuel tank and single exhaust, I want to go back to 2 pipes and get rid of the aux tank,Do i just need 2 slip on pipes or would i also need a mid pipe? I don't have a schematic of what the stock system looks like.
Also this being 2010 990R the dash is different from my old 950S and has a light on the throttle side of the dash, below the instrument panel ,which i am presuming must be an oil light?

You will need a mid pipe (Distributor Tube).

You should be able to find one for sale or even trade in the Flee Market.

My 2011 ADV Dakar does not have any light below the instrument panel. Maybe it was added by the previous owner?

Sounds like my old bike. Its a switch for aux lights that dealer removed. You need factory y pipe and cans. Lots of work done to bike. If its from island bmw they took off 2 sets of lights and low front fender. They crashed it 2 days after trade in.

The rivets failed and the carbon fibre wrap is blown off,I will be looking at it when it comes off,but really doubt there is much left to rivet to.:lol3
