Aaargh, I saw in one of the posts above that there is no turn-by-turn routing...that seems a little strange, since OSM maps have routing, and I thought that these maps are modified OSM? Am I missing something?

Hi Tom, it's not just a matter of having route data in the map. There must be a routing 'engine' in the devices code.

Got it, thanks. I do most of my riding in cities, so this is a deal breaker for me...major bummer. Any chance this will be changed in a firmware update?

There was mention of hardware to add to kids bikes to track them.... Any more info? Price, ect... Thanks

Also is this something that could be swapped easily from bike to a different bike?

Mine is on it's way. I'm still debating how it does, or does not, displace the Montana but as I swap the Montana across a couple of bikes, I figure there s room for the TT Voyager Pro on one of them.

Phase 1 of my 690R mount is complete. It isn’t perfect but the best I could do with the tools I had. The bolts are using the existing holes with rubber vibration dampeners to maintain structural integrity. It may not be the prettiest thing ever but somehow it doesn’t look that out of place on a KTM.

Next up I need to determine if this will become a mount platform or just hold the ABS button and TT warning lights.

I have the aluminum mount on order from TT for comparison vs a RAM AMPs mount secured to this 5mm thick ABS platform giving endless flexibility. I just don’t want to block the warning lights.

Anyone else replacing their instrument cluster have pictures to share?

This isn’t meant as a “tracker” - it uses peer to peer radio signals - short range and only Voyager Pro to Voyager Pro. No way to see location on google maps for instance. Look into a Whistle 3 Pet tracker if you are looking to track kids bikes.

So is there a future plan to add Voice Comm between riders in a group? Now that would be an amazing feature making this almost a must have for any group ride.

I has the ability to connect 2 intercoms per head unit for communication but does not have the intercom built into the unit if that is what you are asking. With an intercom system and on the "media" screen you can, communicate, play and control music, take calls, make calls, see your texts, etc.

I was more thinking of a feature where you can track riders and comm off the head unit operating as a hub using radio signals. Sort of a VHF hub.

Awesome. That will be a big plus for loading trail systems and showing wilderness area boundaries and the like.

And two thumbs up on the center mount. That is a lot more secure than the Garmin option and provides the same or better mounting flexibility.

Same day turnaround on the new head unit and, as expected, the new one has excellent detail. Thanks again for the great customer service.

I’ve added another vibration damper and bolt to use the blanking plate I made for the mounting platform. I purposely made it off center to give space for the abs switch on order and more positioning flexibility.

This is where I’m at so far and I’m going to fix this ridiculously short/exposed connector issue one of these days. Another 6 inches and I would be happy but why so short?

Still waiting on the metal RAM arm and square AMPS mount for the cradle side to stabilize it.

Your post was a bit confusing, you were quoting yourself...were you responding to my question about whether routing would be added in a firmware update?

That's maybe my plan as well. I'm doing this on an '07 Aprilia RXV550 which can add a bit of adventure when playing with the electronics. I should get the unit in a couple of days and I will see what I have in front of me.

    Using you as my guide

Couple questions for @garridan now that I have my unit:

    - what is the white circular sticker cover thing on the back?

    - I've only tested my unit off the bike with my phone and apple AirPods but every time the unit would fall asleep I would need to repair both the phone and the headphones. Is the unit supposed to re-pair automatically?

    - when I screw the Allen key lock in all the way it locks the release button, when I unscrew it all the way it also locks the realese button. I have to find the little spot where it's unlocked. Is that right?

    - the unit has a good angle of viewing at all directions except from the left. Is that what everyone sees?

    - when i scroll down on the manual the text does a little dance while refreshing? Is that normal?

    - do you have a screen protector or other protection items for this unit yet?

Overall I'm impressed with the quality. Very nice unit!

Yeah, the whole viewing angle thing is annoying but with this transflective TN panel would have been much less usable mounted in the typical orientation since we want to be able to stand up without needing to adjust the devices angle over and over.

We are generally looking at our units from the center so their workaround makes sense but a transflective IPS panel would have been great from a viewing perspective (but there are other cost/heat considerations).

This isn’t an official word from them, just my experience in the tech field.
