I brought home a new Ural Patrol tuesday. What a beauty ! White w/black trim. going over everything.rode it a little, have less than 100 Kilometers. I am checking everything over first. Runs kinda doggy, but I am sure that will improve. plugs looks gray/light tan, so carb jet/mixture is close I think. still figuring out the timing. checked all fluids,I know about the importance of the break-in period. Did yours run much/lots better after some miles put on it?

Yes. They run much better after they are broken in.

The best running Ural I ever had was a lowly '95 650 with almost 50,000km on the clock. It ran almost as smooth as my BMW R60/5.

I have to figure out how to post pictures. It is a 2012 white patrol. so far I retorqed heads, adjusted valves, corrected timing, synced carbs, checked all nuts/bolts, changed rear unit lube, greased side car axle u-joints/drive shaft splines (cant get my grease gun fitting onto driveshaft u-joint), fixed sidecar swing arm noise, tire psi, went through about everything.got rid of most squeeks. It runs pretty good now. only have about 130 km as of tonight. Plan on riding tomorrow with my wife. so far I love it.
