New Yamaha Triples.

    I'd love that. I just don't see myself needing 1200+ cc (especially after riding the N1K) for sport touring. I'd rather have a bit less performance than the C14/FJR and get some extra fuel economy and range.

    From what I've been reading, the exec. from Yamaha says that the new triple will be a "cross plane", ala the R1. My artery hardened brain is having trouble picturing a 120° crank that could be called a cross plane. Any explanations?

    I seen those motors on Intermot.
    They are kinda one-off with sump et all CNC machined from solid block. You can see it clearly. They have no cast sump yet.
    And they are huge. In my opinion way bigger than Triumph 800s (I have one). It is not cylinder and head, but rest is very big. Strange kinda...
