So we don't end up with a pile of minor questions cluttering the thread up, If you have questions to ask the seller please PM the person who listed it and continue your negotions vis PM or email.
Here is the thread for Kiwi's to sell or trade stuff, the sort of stuff that would be in the main flea market section, but specific to NZ

The reasons for having it NZ specific are...
1 - Would suit lower value stuff that is not worth getting in from overseas or posting to someone in a far away place.
2 - We are more likely to know of the local brands, sizing etc.
3 - No confusion over currencies
4 - Most of us have internet banking so transferring money is easier than internationally and we can keep our credit cards safe.

    The rules are simply...

If you have something to sell or trade that you no longer need you post a description, where it is, what you want for it and if possible a picture. Items are to be bike, camping, gps, camera related. No cars or other household items etc please.

If someone is interested they PM you via the post you made and you make your own deal to meet behind the bike shed, post it, whatever.

When you sell it, or simply bump it, go to "EDIT POST" at the bottom of your original post and then tick the "NUKE" box to delete the post, this way you don't clutter up the thread with things that are sold. Every 3 months or so the Mod may opt to delete all threads that are older than 3 months, usually with a weeks notice, as is customary in the main Flea Market.

This should end up like an online trader section for those bits and pieces we collect, upgrade from, have left over when we on sell bikes... etc

DO NOT post for unknown eBay sellers or advertisers in other places. If it is not you or your mates it does not belong here.
If you sneak one in, delete it when it is sold.

Not for Commercial Sellers, small time businesses run by, active inmates are excepted. Mods descision will be final.

So we don't end up with a pile of minor questions cluttering the thread up, If you have a question on something, PM the person who listed it and ask them to elaborate their description.

If you have some sort of "comment", find somewhere else to post it.
Ads will be tidied up every 2 months.

Was fitted to my Ducati 888 when I had it but unused now for several years.

Suits something italian and lets face it, a DR is never going to be exotic. Not even with all the aftermarket sh*t I’ve bolted onto mine.

I have a used plate and a newly manufactured plate.

    Make me a sensible offer.

Hey folks I have a BMW R1100RS in good original condition, lowered footpegs with factory panniers for sale, or if anyone with a Ducati St2 in similar condition with factory bags, would like to swap. Mine is a 96, with 88250 ks,REG/Wof, just had a new starter motor put in. Im keen to go to something Italian and a little more sporty, perhaps someone with a ducati st2 would like to go to something more touring orientated. Anyway looking for around $5000.00.

Sunday morning didn't quite go to plan and ended up with bits of GS decorating the countryside, not unusual I will admit but in this case the RH valve cover seems to have developed a minor oil leak.
So, I need a new valve cover, as long as it is intact I have no need of one in pristine condition.

PS. Roads in the back of Hunua are bloody slippery!

I have seen araldite used successfully as a 'bog in the meantime' type of fix. In fact the last time I saw the bike, the 'fix' was still in place.

Thanks for the suggestions unfortunately I would need about 70% of the cover made from it, it's in a great condition for adjusting both valves with out taking the cover off at the moment. :D
It's surprising what a 200m slide at 100 kph will do to a crash bar and valve cover, actually I am impressed that all I need is a valve cover and an indicator, the GS crashes very well!

Moto Guzzi 850 parts wanted, anything considered.
Specifically , gearbox, final drive, pair of disc braked spoked wheels would be nice, maybe a V7 Style tank ( fibreglass with the clear bit).

    Hi,
I'm going to NZ this Oct till Sept '16. I'm 18, have a WH Visa and want to travel with a bike.
    As I have a european A2 license I'd prefer buying a bike with a maximum power-to-weight-ratio of 0,2kw/kg and a maximum power of 35kw/48hp. Therefore I'm looking for sth like a KLR650.
Already checked the bikes on trademe, but currently can't create an account (currently not a resident) and want to contact the sellers before traveling to NZ.

    Cheers,
    Doc.

Also check out the DR650 - LAMS legal, common here & a great bike for exploring NZ. If you see a bike around my area - Rotorua - that you may want to buy I can check it out for you for a few beers. I suggest you start a separate thread with your questions.

    Cheers

BMW 96 R1100RS project bike for sale.
Ok well despite my attempts to get this sorted it appears to be beyond my ability so heres a project for someone who knows what they're doing. Its a 96 R1100RS with 89000kms, and its got a issue with dragging front brake. What Ive done so far is cleaned the front master cylinder, replaced all front brake lines, cleaned both calipers and put new seals from the UK in them, and put in new brake pads, re bled system many times, no air, but brakes still drag and Im told would not get a warrant like this. Bike is in tidy original condition, good paint, brand new tyres Pirelli GTs, still has REGO, but no warrant now. New after market starter fitted last year. Factory panniers in good condition. Im gutted to have to sell this and I have zero interest in spending a single cent more on it, so Ill sell it as either a going project or if theres no interest itll be off to the wrecker. Bike is in really nice condition and would be a shame to scrap it, but its got me beat on fixing the drag issue, so would make a good winter fix up for the home bmw mechanic. Open to offers, bike is in wgtn.
