Garmin seems to have made little mistake and revealed some information on a new Zumo 660! Earlier they had a banner on this page, but it only worked for some people, for me it only worked with Internet Exploder and not with Firefox.

I made som compares and some initial thoughts on the pic.

:rolleyes Has been posted/rumored on all over the place for weeks, would be nice to get some new info. I'm beginning to think that paid trolls are doing it.

    Obvious photoshop IMO

We'll see, but I doubt this is anything other than a Nuvi

Photoshop? I doubt Garmin would do such a thing, Its from Garmins site and it's still there, the problem is that it's only viewable for a few, I can see it in Internet Exploder but not in Firefox, so probably they put it out to early and recalled it, but they did'nt refresh all of the webservers cache so some of us can still see it.

Whatever. I entered the link in snapshot from your browser is "ontheroad" manually using a clean browser with no cache and got to that screen and do get a Nuvi 765 for the auto.

If you go to the Garmin website by market and select Deutchland - Navigation für Zweiräder - it will display the zumo 550, the GPSMAP 278 and the Nuvi 550 Allaround, but that is the only site that even includes a Nuvi for two wheels. Nuvi is not listed for any other country.

Only way to know for sure is to hit it from a Swedish IP and see what Garmin does, but I'm not loosing any sleep over this. Time to move on.

Sorry for you, but have you tried it in different browsers, like Firefox, Chrome or IE? Anyway, I've seen the light and I'm convinced, time will tell...

I looked at it and the info page using FF. Still appears to be a mistake on Garmin's part as far as the image. I don't doubt they'll intro a new gadget at CES, but I'll be surprised if it is called a Zumo and looks like a Nuvi. Model line differentiation is pretty important stuff to the marketing types....not to mention a bunch of anal retentive gadget grabbers like us!

I was surprised to see that banner for a Zumo 660. However, following the link leads to the Nuvi 765T page, and the image is that of a Nuvi 765T.

I am betting that Garmin is preparing to announce the Zumo 660 and did some copying and editing of existing web pages to create new ones for the 660. Somebody probably screwed up and saved some interim file in the wrong place.

Or, maybe it is just a clever way of getting us all excited and talking about it.

Well I think they made a good platform with the Nuvi 550 and a widescreen version with its own software is a "simple" development, they can probably use the same motherboard as in 765T and pack it with some motorcycle specifik hard- and software.

As I said on another board...I'll believe it when I see it. No doubt it'll be just as expensive, if not more, as the original Zumo when it came out. Even if it's true, it could still be months before anyone gets their hands on one.

Don't know if this means anything but the word Zumo in the screenshot has the double dots over the u like the u in Nuvi not the line over it like on the Zumo 550. Sorry but I don't know the proper names for the double dots or the line.

That's definetely not a picture of the GPS they are describing in the text - no left hand controls.

I agree that it's probably a skeleton someone is building that got onto the wrong server for a while.

The double dots are an umlaut.

There are big zoombuttons on the left side if the screen, on the Nuvi the are small and on the right side.
