A few of us gathered in St. John's today for a little "meet and greet." Not shown in the pic is Dave (aka "Murph") who arrived later on his Big Ruckus. The four of us took a scoot through the hilly streets of the downtown area with a ride up Signal Hill. As the weather gets even warmer, expect to see a few more pics. :clap

Also on hand were a few buddies from Ride The Rock (www.ridethrock.com), Tony and Don. All in all, a good bit of fun.

...and you were embarassed for the guys who brought the big bikes, I hope... :D

Now, seriously, if you hopped on the ferry to North Sydney, could you stuff the scoots in an overhead bin to keep costs down?

Jeez, There's scoots on The Rock?

I've ridden my Silverwing up there 3 times and have never seen another scoot.

Haha, yeah I was. Though the guy with the big BMW has a Vespa 300 GTS, He was given the gears for not arriving on it. He has a pretty slick Versys too, like the one pictured but in black.

It would be great if Marine Atlantic gave us scooterists a break on the ferry. I want to ride in the Mad Bastard scooter rally on the mainland but the cost of getting there ain't cheap.

There are. I have been riding scooters in NL for the past 15 years. We are a rare breed but we are increasing in numbers. Social media has allowed us to connect and get together.

Glad to hear you'be been here three times. You have an SWing, nice bike. Wish I had one too. There is a used one at our local Honda dealer right now, asking $3800. It's tempting.

I rode my Silverwing to Newfoundland several years ago. I thought it was a great place and the people very friendly. Didn't see any other scooters at all, and I spent a week in St Johns.
I hope to get back there next year.

Cool. If you came back now you'd see more on the road. We are having another meet up this weekend. Can't wait. I'll post a pic or two.

Not a lot of scooters here but with the traffic issues that prosperity brings I am surprised there are not more. I bought my Big Ruckus in Malagash, N.S. two years ago. After a 1300km road trip back to St John's it now does all my around town chores and errands.
