Any Dual Sport Riders from Niagara around. We have a couple of guys who meet up for rides. Wondering if anyone else is interested in setting up a regular ride.

I'd be up for some DS riding as long as the 406/QEW aren't involved!

In the past we have met up at the Allenbergh bridge. Tons of trails up and down the canal towards Port Colborne. Single track, dirt roads and some hairy sections, especially when its muddy.
Hopefully we can set something up for next week.

I'll be there this Saturday. Niagara Timberline Riders is having a trail awareness & clean up day with other users including Quads (gag) & equestrian users. Haven't been to a club meeting in months so not sure when Quads became acceptable, they never were before, but we gotta work together to keep the east side trail open. Numbers matter in making a loud voice.

Let me know when you want to ride, I'm in.

This is a good forum. I would like to come down and explore a little and I know others from the GTA thread would be too. When you have a ride going, please post on the GTA Mega Thread and we'll gather up who we can and come down. I'm from Waterloo but grew up in Lewiston and I'm always passing through so having a few side roads to explore on the way to and from would be great.:clap

Here's the latest on the Eastside Trail..http://www.nrps.com/news/details.asp?id=mr3344.

Since I don't run knobbies on my GSA, I only ride Eastside Trails when it's dry. For me most weekends are reserved for full on dirt biking, but I can easily be convinced to take a day off the dirt bike once in awhile. My work schedule also allows me to ride a lot of midweek too, if anyone is interested. I know of some other spots in Niagara that are rideable for big DS's that some of you might be interested in.

All sounds great. I am going to EOAR this weekend but maybe next weekend for a blended ride would be OK. I have the F800 with full knobs and will be willing to ride more than just dirt roads. The single track and deep water crossings are usually too much for my skill level though I don't mind watching and taking the long way around until I get used to that stuff.

I think after that rain, my big GSA with no knobs just ain't gonna cut it on the Eastside Trail.

There's no way my GSA would've made it through there. KTM no problem, but it's not exactly street legal right now. I would've had to trailer it there. The ATV ruts must have been full.

Yes it was pretty soupy out there, I dodged most of it but passed some wheeler's that threw the slop all over and it got really nasty! I made to the East Main tunnel and took the gravel back to Dain City.
