Great read! I met you in at the Red Frog bar in Copan Honduras and remembered the "no fumar espanol" excuse for the police and told it to many people. I agree with you on the smaller bikes being better for Latin America. When I lived there I had a couple chinese 200's and rode them throughout Central America. Yea the bigger bikes are great but when there is always a cow or pot hole in the road, the extra power isn't necessary. Looking forward to the next RR!

    Hola Vince

Just saw your thread on the RR, and would check in. Looking back in always interesting. Time certainly flies by.

Happy New Year to you. Hope that you are making the most of "normal" life.

As a longer term rider, I understand that this is an amazing journey that I am on, but someday it will end, and I will be onto a new "chapter" of life. At this point it is all unknown ...... Not sure what Normal life will be .... But I am doing my best to stay in the moment!! :ricky

Not quite sure about the whining....... shit my wife has to hear me cry about NOT doing that type of trip. Every weekend while drinking chilean wine.... Vin your story was a great eye opener. Refinanced my mortgage this week to a 15 year @2.875 so that at 60 I will be free and clear. Tired of the same old same old. My original post was about the Tool song you posted with the video that broke my heart..... in a good way. Simply incredible. Fuck...... One day my man ..... One day... Good Luck in Alaska.

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone. Much appreciated. "Real life" has been back for a couple of years now and I'm totally sucked into it once again. Nothing to be proud of, thats for sure. But it aint a bad way to pay the bills, if you have bills. Slowly getting rid of mine once again.

Another day at the office now. Looking forward to real life on the road again sometime.......

Kudos to my FO (un Colombiano) for the vid. Muy bien cabron!

Its still the office, but the view aint too bad, so I got that going for me, which is nice.....

A beer goes to anyone who can guess the mountain in the far distance right after take off, and once we make the turn over the mountains, the "river of water" that narrows out beyond the inlet. Disclaimer: AK residents need not apply. :lol3

It aint a moto, but not a bad way to pay the bills......

    Saludos....

A bit hard to see in the vid but its Sleeping Lady. Then the turn to the southeast following just south of the Turnagain Arm.

The weather here lately had been epic and got me all amped up to ride. So I was thinking about going down to Sterling today to look at a 950 that's for sale.

Then I woke up to this: :eek1 :eek1 :eek1 :eek1 Guess we will have to start inspiration hour early today. :lol3
