Motorcycle Superstore no longer has them in my sizes. I ordered one for the front from American Motorcycle Tire, but just got notice they've refunded my money. I assume they're unable to fulfill my order.

I gotta get a new tire on the front of the GS soon (assuming I get the other issues taken care of). The Anakee 3 seems to be more street oriented and there are really no reviews out there on it from real world experience. It's spendier, too. Any suggestions for something fairly comparable to the Anakee 2 or where I can still get them?

I got 10k + out of my rear Trail Attack on a Tiger.
Not dual compound, but dual cured. Long wear, sticky sides, good in rain.

There are more tires out there than Ankanees and Tourances, and I have yet to find someone that trys them not love them.

I tried them all. Tourances seem to work all around for me. I am not complaining on longevity. Really hate it when tire looses grip in the wet.

Hey, what's the best oil? LOL

I found the TA's way better than others (especially in a lean) when wet.

    So there you go.

I'm testing a set of Shinko 705 's and they stuck like glue to a very wet OR-34 on the way back from Brookings a few weeks ago. Can't comment on longevity yet.

Oh, and the price is right compared to Tourances too. :D

I'm just about ready to replace my Anakee 2's. I've only found a couple of real world reviews(FSVO) on the Anakee 3, but I think that's the way I'm going to go. I don't do much off-pavement, and when I do it's mostly confined to fire roads, maintained or not. I've looked at the 3 in person, and they for sure look a lot more street oriented than the 2. That being said, the reviews say the 3's actually work a bit better than the 2's in all of the areas the tire is supposed to work in.

I'll post a review in the next month or so.

    What he said.

I swear, that the front Shinko 705 is a better tire all around than a Tourance front (and I like Tourances). The front Shinko lasts longer than a Tourance and will have more tread left than a Tourance when you replace it (which will be because it has cupped). The front Tourance will cup too, but you'll give it up on tread depth rather than cupping (if you are a tight-wad like me).

The Rear Shinko 705 is a great tire too but wont last as long as a Tourance.

I can't speak to Anakee's and how the Shinkos compare with the 2 or 3

front Shinko with just over 28,000 miles

It's cupped but it is not the tire's fault

Forks have been tweaked ever since I jumped a deer at 75mph about 40,000 miles ago :evil
