If he decided to do a podcast, I would tune in.
The new MAVTV channel should pick him up and build a show for him to host. Something HE would like to do and cover. Just my .02 worth.
I've met and spoken to Dave a few times. He would occasionally come into a restaurant that I ran in Athens, GA nice guy and huge asset to the motorcycling community. He was certainly passionate. Wherever he ends up I hope his knees are in the breeze !
Dave always gave plug-ins to his roots...dirt-track. Another one of the old school guys fading away. Met him at an event in Daytona a few years back when I was 23 and going to a nearby school. Spent 30+ minutes just chatting. Awesome guy that will be missed on TV. Sure he will take to writing somewhere...hopefully.
Maybe not. They just signed to show MotoGP for 3 more years.
I'll miss Dave too, I watched every Sunday. Just as all the little clips from all the racers in the last episode; everyone who was into racing watched it. It was the most varied Motorsports show of them all.
WTF speed is gone.
I knew that fox had bought the station and changes were coming obviously. Now my trusty ol 607 on the dial says tune to 219 speed is now fox sports 1.
I go to 219 and they are talking fucking football.
Help me get my motorsports fix.
Fox owned Speed already.
Either way, I am pissed off with the programming.
I had the pleasure of racing Dave at Roebling Road several times (WERA or CCS, can't remember which). He had the same attitude as I did: "I don't get paid to do this. It's supposed to be fun." Always a pleasure to be around him.
Great voice. Wish they would pick him up to do either WSB or MotoGP, and get rid of those amateurs they are currently using. Maybe Bob Varsha and Despain together...
Where is all the racing programming?
Every time I turn on Fox 1 it's college football.
Get use to it. Bike racing is a second class citizen.....again.
Make that ANY racing.Didn't realize how much I'd miss Speed.
Check your other cable channels. FIM MX and RR is on bein sport locally, for example.
MAV TV has picked up some of it.
