Just head east on the 74 and make a left on the fireroad past Hell's Kitchen. Miles of easy fireroad that way all the way to corona. If you are a total noob remember to air down your front tire. 17 pounds usually works for most bikes and will make all the difference in the world while riding in the dirt.

    Me, too! Me, too!

I traded my RT for a GSA. I have no trouble finding a few friends to go on a street ride, but nada for a tame off road ride. I put a few miles on trails with my KLR before I swapped both for my GSA. I got a little freaked out by sand on the KLR. I just wore out my Tourances and can't decide whether to put TKCs on it or a set of Pilot Roads!

    :cry

    Thanks for the links.
Team long rider . I know that trail. Working for the county we maintain a section of that road and have access to most of the gates .
That one is on my list along with running up too Idwild from Hemit.

From what I can tell it looks like your are riding a DR650.
So I would suggest checking out the CNF thread.

There are a lot of guys that like that ride.
But I am not one of them. :lol3

I am more of a single track rider.

Troll through some of the threads and find a fit for your skill level.

    Have fun!!
    welcome to ADV

I actually live in Canyon Heights.
Just outside of CL's rules and regs.

Lots of places to ride in and around CL
Like the back basin area (which is BLM land)...right down to the water.
It is very rocky and just shreads tires but there are alot places to ride.
CL's rules and regs suck for the people who live inside the gates!! :puke1

Nice easy one in your neck of the woods; can meet up in Hell rather than the Swallows if you don't wanna get up early
