I'd be very interested in riding with you guys. Taking off from San Juan is fairly convenient for me too, given that I'm in Costa Mesa.

Unfortunately I'm in Austin, TX for a little getaway with the gf this weekend, but let's keep this going!

Because most folks have one or both off. If you have a weekday, post up for riding buddies! :clap

Probably too late but looking to go ride this am and/or tomorrow am. Somewhere within I-210/ I-15 starting area. KTM 990. I'll keep my eyes open for any takers. If not, I'll take the Harley up to...(Yeah I said it...HARLEY) up to Hell's Kitchen for some grub.

Would you be interested in meeting at Hell's Kitchen and then heading south along the divide road to Tenaja Truck Trail?
Oops, just saw you want a weekend. I'd like to do this ride on Saturday or Sunday....

At 8-830. If you want you are welcome to tag along just to see what trouble we get in :D
I'll be taking the slower xr250r, buddy on a 250 two stroke. Do the single track, done probably by 1pm. Be enough time to hit the Arrowhead single track. Our faster bikes are down for maintenance. Feel free to pm if you like.

I REALLY want to ride to Toro Peak - probably set up as a day ride and include another road (be an all dayer). Thinking early May(whichever day isn't Mother's Day) - would go next weekend, but I'm going to Jimmy Lewis' :freaky:clap

Not rubbing it in or anything.....:evil

Hey LB, is that big bike friendly or smaller ones. Just got to SD and am totally ready to head out in May.

Sent from my device upon which I can access nearly all knowledge in the world, yet which I actually use to look at pictures of motorbikes and cute dogs.

I'm here in San Diego and looking to pick up a GS soon, so I'll be in on this in short time hopefully. I can ride on Saturday or Sunday. I know quite a bit of trails East of San Diego. Not so much up north.

Rumor says that its big bike friendly.....this is based on somebody else's (who I don't know) post. From the few pics I've seen it looks like graded dirt roads, but.....:lol3

I'm a noob on a Vstrom 650, so if there are trails that are big bike friendly, I would be down to try it out. I've ridden a couple of the dirt roads that branch off the 38 on the way to big bear.

hi sue and others. this thread is looking good.

lots of places to ride for those looking for easy trails or dirt roads. this summer, we typically escape to big bear or along the coast line.

    hope to meet you all.

Just got back from Toro Peak - beautiful! The road: some sand (as usual, much more in the center berm), some rocks, a couple steep hills right before the end of the road (easy up, careful down - for me).

Nice noob ride (and this is being written by someone who hasn't had to use their feet yet to count their dirt rides) easy, but enough to keep a noob well occupied.

Noobs on big bikes - I wouldn't, but, if you've ridden a v-strom or some such bike on dirt before.....maybe? Met a nice guy on a gs up there, but he'd ridden some really bad (he said 30 mph would be dangerous) roads in eastern Europe.

So, if anybody is interested, I'm thinking about the the first weekend of May? Also, ride Rouse Ridge? Would make a great all dayer.

I'd love to go riding there but I'll be in Northern California at the Mendo Rally in the Mendocino National Forest. Camping, fire roads, chilly evenings, awesome food... I cannot wait!
