You may want to grab your tall boots and strap your hat down, if the last couple hours here in Solano County is headed your way

    MendoGurgleDave, where are you?

Looking at the rainfall totals...I'm thinking the wind is skewing the numbers, blowing the rain past the gauges. Looks like a hell of a lot more than 1.5" to me.

Ok, now that was a storm, all right. My brother texts me at 3am, NOW THAT IS RAINFALL...

something when thud in the night and shook the house, nothing obvious from here but I am going out mushrooming and will see, it was large, whatever it was.

no, that rainfall was pretty accurate, I am surrounded by trees so the rain readings are pretty good.

when it is raining that hard it is difficult to distinguish the howl of the wind from the roar of the rain.

This time I did manage to sleep.

I have a computer job in Albion this morning, so will take some photos of the storm debris.

No power loss, no internet outage. pretty damn good!

    still coming down outside.

Maybe I won't swap that drive out of my movie raid array just yet.

    :lol3

Here in the Sac area the rainfall totals are all over the map, 1" here in Elk Grove, 2.5" in Roseville, 1.5" at the airport...probably trust that one more than the others.

We have a quarter mile dirt road to our house and half of that looked like a creek. We are planning on putting in a pond in our yard and we got a good idea of what that is going to look like.

Took a drive to Edwards and Purden crossings on the Yuba yesterday, lots of stuff on the roads and the Yuba was flowing well.

Oh almost forgot, the wet, mossey rocks by the water are slick

Saw thet the Rite Aid parking lot in G.V. was flooded, bring back Lake Olympia.

Need to get down to Edwards to take a look. I am so close it it, but have never seen it at high flow. The dog will be pissed that she can't go in.

My Dad made the same comment to me last night about Lake Olympia. He used to swim there when he was a kid.

Seeing kayaks in the Rite Aid parking lot was kinda funny. :evil
