Jeepers MV... :huh You've become quite the little rally bike prep/eager beaver of late haven't you? (you were always class at baja bike prep... so it's probably a natural progression for you, eh?
By my (rough) count, that a trick 640 adventure, a sick husaberg 450, a schmick husaberg 570 and now a slick CRF 450 all in rally form in the last 18 months/two years! :eek1
rip it up mate!
PS: I found some dusty but glossy prints in an old album of you, me, Joe, Shaun, Dana and Randy out at Corona Hills from years back (@1990)... you'll get a laugh when I get a chance to show you.

Anyone registered for the 2014 Mex1K?
just getting ready to push the the send button .. Sounds like they had a good first day entry wise with cars and trucks not sure about bikes ..As well this year moto's get 5 days of special's !
The Tigers are being built !!!!!!!
I cant wait !!!
The bikes and cars will be 100% separated, never being allowed on the same piece of track at the same time. To achieve this we are using a combination of separate tracks and separate schedules.
Bikes actually have timed specials for 5 days.
Day 1: Ensenada to El Rosario (cars run this the next day).
Day 2: El Rosario to San Ignacio (we have some bike only routes for this)
Day 3: El Rosario to Loreto (again some bike only routes)
Day 4: Loreto to La Paz (again some bike only routes)
Day 5: La Paz to San Jose del Cabo (same route but short day with big time gap)
Additional safety measures we are working on include air support (medical chopper), airborne radio relay, live tracking, increased assets in safety plan.
Sounds Great Chris .. I cant wait for this event again .
Well I guess this can be the OFFICIAL 2014 Norra 1000 update thread..
What do you think ? Does it deserve a sticky ?
My money is on the nationals Gracida or Rojas for overall bike.
Good luck to all entered and stay safe ! This goes to both the racers and the chasers !!
My money is going on Bike 101
I will be supporting the UPS stores "Prophy truck" and the Gordon buggy. I'm in the white Arciero/Oakley box van.
I'm bummed I won't get to see much moto action for the first couple of days. Everyone be safe and have fun!
So how did today's stage go??
still racing !
Linky now workY?
I fiddled around and found I needed to sign up for an IRC account to get it to work. Once logged in I can actually see where people are on the map.
I signed up at http://www.racetheworld.net/
According to the tracking Baja Dad (312) is still shown at mile 140 for yesterday's stage. Hopefully just a tracking issue.
Took a couple pics yesterday. Every restaurant along the scenic route back was packed due to Mexican mother's day but the border wait through Tecate was only 15 minutes, go figure...
