Last year when I got to the San Ignacio pemex they were out of gas. I figured I should be able to find gas in San Juanico so I went ahead.

The first crew of NORRA folks got in to Mexicali today. Smooth border crossing.

We'll be seeing some of you soon at registration!

That is the intent. If bandwidth is available and I get them live, it will be posted here. Also, it will be going out via the youtube.com/NORRA channel, so probably if you follow or subscribe you'll get an email. (Not sure.)

Who's already thinking about next year? :) It's taken me a week, but I'm 95% unpacked and recovered from this year. Another big adventure!

If anyone has suggestions about improvements for the time card, or the route book contents (ie, not the tulips, or the measurements, but forms and other information) I'd be interested in hearing them. :)

    Cheers!

Anders- great job this year. Only suggestion would be to make the time cards out of VELCRO! I lost mine on day 2. I came off the bike and so did my time card, $100 bill, a go pro camera, and my CHAP STIK. The thing I was most pissed about was my CHAP STIK. I had bacon lips by the end of the day...

So- not only did I get an hour penalty for loosing my card, but ALSO a half hour penalty on top of that for "missing final time control at LORETO " at the end of the test! Well no duh. I had no card so they did not count me for some reason.

Well I got in double trouble that cost me 90 min.

I think you guys did a terrific job overall, especially in that environment and under difficult circumstances:clap

The one thing I would ask to be changed is NO drag racing for 10 miles with 1 min gaps on pavement out of Loreto toward San Javier...:eek1
